How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

Called today after purchasing all access subscription for $220 a few days ago after the trial offer on my VW and after logging into my new account for the first time. Saw they are running a promo for home radio/vehicle radio kit. They gave me $78 refund instantaneously on my account. Then gave me $50 refund credit, after purchasing two radios (a home for $39.99 a free vehicle radio shipping, for a total of $54). So my initial all access plan dropped down to $92 for one year but I was able to get a second radio and, with it's subscription of $9.99 per month (X 12 months = $119.88), I actually got two radios All Access for $211.88! So, with the $54 for buying 1 new radio plus shipping for a second free radio, my total came to $265.88. Again, that's for two radios All Access for one year. I can cancel in 30 days, and keep the single radio subscription All Access for $92 per year. I don't need to show everyone the math on what the savings of that really amounts to be! Two freaking Sirius XM radio signals all access for one year, even lower than the plan I initially started out with!

The CSRs were very pleasant. I'm totally loving Sirius XM radio stations and their programming right now. I keep telling my closest friends and family. Am I still paying too much? Dunno, doubt it! :)

still got 30 days to cancel....worst case...

Just got the $25 for 5 months deal, even though it's a pain to call back in February. The yearly deal is $89 which is a little more per month. I did say I would cancel if I had to pay the regular price. Very pleasant service, and I'm happy! Thanks Spoofee

Funny, I've called and chatted online with them today and they don't seem to offer any deals. Maybe I need to call again as mention that I know there's a super low deal!

I called 866 635 2349 and got $14.95 for 6 months. Just said I was going to cancel.

I've called twice and they did not want to give me any yearly deal. $154.00 total for mostly music package.

I've called twice and still no yearly deal offered. They want $154..00 total for mostly music package. My SiriusXM will expire in 2 weeks.

Sept 22 - Was offered musk only for $133 including taxes and fees. I said cancel and was put in touch with another rep who gave me $89 a year (108.80 taxes&fees) This is loony I have to play this game each year.

Sometimes it takes for your subscription to expire, before they offer you the $89 / 1 year deal. They will waive the $15 re-activation fee as well. If you can live without XM for a few weeks, let your deal expire, cancel your subscription and look for that special offer in the mail for $89. If you are really patient and can wait 1-2 months, then you will get the 6 month, $25 offer.

I watched, listened, and made three calls. The expression 3rd times a charm has merit. I got the 1 year select plan with all the channels except Howard Sterns (no loss) and including Nav Traffic for $136.01 including tax's. Over a 50% savings and the same thing my new Corvette's had over the past year. I tried to negotiate further on the .01 with no luck LOL. The regular price for what I'm getting is well over $350 bucks. I did try to get the lifetime package I've had on my Lexus for 5 years, no joy there. Multiple cars put it together tho.

Just did this and after turning down the $89/yr, I told them that I wasn't paying more than $5/month and she immediately said 'okay, I'll give you the 5 month/$25 promotion'....didn't even make me work for it like they usually do. I've never had to cancel the service though I've said (every 5 months for 2 years now) that if I don't get this specific plan I'll drop SiriusXM entirely. They often give you an 'I don't know, let me ask my manager if that's even available anymore' but as long as you are polite & firm you'll get the best deal.

This worked on the very first call, total with taxes etc. 104.00 for the next year. They had sent me a bill for $189.95 and I told them that was too much and I would not be able to renew. Thanks soooo much for the tip!

I called 888-601-6301 and had a great CSR. I told him that the auto-renewal price was too high and I would need to cancel. He promptly offered me the $89 for one year on the select package offer and gave me back the money from the renewal ($192.22). He updated my address, email, and was very pleasant, all in less than 5 minutes! Thanks Spoofee!

the 5 dollars/24.99 is there current promotion. Its not like they 'liked you best' and went out of their way to 'help' you.

Just called since my subscription had run out. Got one year all-in for $151.02 (this is ALL ACCESS, includes online listening and Stern). Not bad, just over half what the bill they send said. Bababooey.

Just called to cancel my subscription at $185.50 telling the CSR that was more then I can afford. She told me about a deal going on right now at $89.00 for a year. Told her I couldn't afford that much and to cancel my subscription. She had an offer for 5 months at $25.00... Asked if I could have that for 6 months. She came back with OK I can do that -- 6 months for $25.20 tax included. Good till March 2015. What a deal...

1st 3 months I got the free trial, then called to cancel, and they offered $5/mo for 6 mos fees & taxes for total of $34.10. Called today to see if I could renew another 6 mos. First CSR only offered lesser plans that you could get on the Sirius website. When I refused, she forwarded me to a Specialist who could help me, Chen. She offered the $89 for 12 mos or the same 6 mo offer of $5/mo. I took the 6 month deal and put a tickler in my phone to call back before it expires. Yay!

Good info here. I called the number on my renewal form first and they weren't offering great deals. Then i called this one and said i would probably cancel because they were charging me twice what i paid a year ago. She offered the same package (everything including internet - ALL ACCESS) for about $130 a year with tax. That seems like a reasonable amount to me and actually a little cheaper than i paid a year ago. Good for another year.
