How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

I successfully mentioned the 36FOR99SELECT code via chat....no problem. 36 months for $99 tax.

Just got the $60 year deal for Music & Entertainment with no added fees. Just be insistent that you will end your service and they will likely agree. A minor pause and then they make an on the spot adjustments so your bill will be $60..or maybe a lower price.

So, I recently cancelled on both my cars because I have access to the app through a lifetime subscribed portable radio I got years ago. I figured I'll just use Bluetooth - a slight pain but no additional cost. After a couple of months I got offers for a $2.99 a month deal for the Music & Entertainment plan for 36 months and after the 36 months ends, no auto bump to a higher price. The $2.99 includes tax and fees. They charge $2.46 for the plan and .53 for tax etc. Access just stops at that point unless you subscribe to a new plan. That's the lowest I've ever seen. I just thought I'd let everyone know what you can expect if you cancel and hang loose for awhile.

I just got off chat. Took about half and hour, which is ridicules. I requested the 3 years for $99. The agent got it for the one vehicle, a 2012 VW but said they couldn't do it for the other car because that promo was only for cars from 2015 and earlier and the other car is a 2018. So, I had the agent cancel that radio. This is the first time I have played chicken with the rep, after years of playing this haggle game, and they said they couldn't do the promo and canceled my radio.

They told me

"$47.94 for 6 months but I will adjust $15 from my side and will provide you 6 month plan for $32.94 for 6 month. And this is only for you as you are the most valued customer."

Just got a flyer in the mail to sign up for $4/mo. It shows I am paying $3.29 in fees a month, I am accessing from two devices and one car. Don't know if I could do two cars as I only have the one with SXM built in.

10-10-24 - Just tried to get the 3 year Select plan for $99 through chat as my plan was up for renewal tomorrow. The agent said the only promo for me was $6.99 a month for 1 year and that the $99 for 3 years was only available on vehicles that are 7 years or more old but then said 2015 or older which would actually be 9 years in 2024, my vehicle is a 2018. I declined the $6.99 offer and said I would only renew for the $99 at 3 years or go ahead and cancel it, they canceled it with no other offer made. I’ll wait at this point to receive an offer by email to subscribe again.

Just got the M&E package for $72 a yr (taxes & fees included, 2022 Blazer)).. Couldn't get them to go no lower...

Played chicken again at the end of July trying to get the Music & Entertainment 3 years for $99 offer. Rep was unable to offer it on my account but eventually did receive the $60/year deal offer but I was adamite and cancelled instead. I was mail offered 8.49/month for same plan, no thanks. A few weeks later $5/month with free platinum upgrade plus 6 months of Walmart , no thanks. I kept checking the 36FOR99SELECT webpage and it kept telling me my radio wasn't eligible but kept offering the $5/month deal. Today, three months post cancelling it allowed me to renew my radio with 36FOR99SELECT webpage, so I signed up again for $105.93.

I'm cancelling on Saturday as they wouldn't do the 3 years at $99, is anyone getting some good offers after you cancelled?

I had read about the three years of premium channels for my car and the use of the app. I did the chat and to my surprise after making my inquiry of the 3 years for 99 and I got it on first try. I think it is because I had let my subscription lapse for a couple of years while experiencing some personal and financial difficulties. So I got 3 years for $81.55 plus 3 years music royalties of $17.45 came to the magic total of $99.00. I still don't understand the free videos feature. I got my car activated through a text message which was very convenient. If you are like me I found the updated app much easier to navigate without the drop down menus. With it for not having to haggle for the next three years!

I used the chatbot feature, and got $5/month for a year for Music & Entertainment. For the past several years I've spoken with a human being at SXM but this went much faster. Thanks again for this site and this thread- you've saved me money for years!

I ended up canceling two vehicles today after being a customer for the last twenty years. They would not give 3 years for $99. The best offer I got via chat representative was $8.49 per month for music and entertainment. That is too much for me and I already pay for Apple Music and Pandora, which I will be using instead.
