How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

called in to renew my subscription & got a rate of $74.91 including tax-fees for 1 year. Thanks for sharing the info!!

I just renewed my Select plan for $7.13 a month including taxes and fees for 1 yr..Literally a 5 min phone call, CSR was very friendly and no run around........

Just got my renewal. 228. 53 for Select and 71.46 for streaming. Total of 299.99. Called, said I was going to have to cancel, too expensive, Spotify, Amazon, blah blah blah. Told no, my previous $99 bill was 'a promotion'. I said, 'Well I guess I'll cancel.' Hold on, let me transfer you to a service specialist. Bottom line, I now have All Access, which includes streaming for $120. AND a free Echo Dot from Amazon! Yep, just got the email, used the code, voila, free Dot. Pretty sweet. NEVER pay for full Sirius price and pity those that do.

My current plan was 6 months for $30 plus fees and taxes ($37ish). They were going to jack it up to about $113 for the next 6 months. I called and got the 1 year Select plan for $60 plus fees and taxes (minus 1 day of current subscription). Total: $76.52. Of course, you have to agree to their much high rate automatically charged at the end of the period, but I told him 'we'll see about that. I'll be calling back about that time to renegotiate.' We both acknowledged the game going on. But overall, the exchange was pleasant and I was off the phone in 7 minutes.

My renewal was also for $228.53. I called and they put me through and the dance began! First, 12 months for $138, then 12 months for $122, then six months for $34. Finally 12 months for $72.50. Probably lowest price I've paid in three years.

Called today and could not get the $25/5 months. best they would do is $28/5 months. Didn't want to waste another 15 minutes in a couple of days to try again so just took it. Still way better than their rack rates which are stupidly expensive. Good to know about the $60/year rate. I may actually call back in in December to try to get that but too busy to do it right now. Also saw the guy with the $99/3 years. If they offer that, I'll take that too.

Previous renewal invoice was $228.53. I called to let them know it was way too pricey and there are other options and asked them to lower before I cancelled. Very pleasant conversation, first offer quoted was $50.77 for 6 months but I asked for a longer period so I wouldn't have to call back so soon to renegotiate. Second offer was $83 for 1 yr including fees & taxes ($6.92 mo) which I accepted.

Also received renewal for $228.53 from Sirius for Select Package.
Called 855-837-5250
They first offered $140/12 mo; then $120/12 mo; then $100. I remained firm, but kind, and said I couldn't afford the higher rate when I knew the special promotion of $60 fees was being given for renewals. Each time the representative 'checked with supervisor' until he gave me the $5.00 a month fees rate. Certainly worth the call! ?

I was first offered $35/5 mos. Then I told him I had friends who were able to get 12 mos. for $60. He said the best he could do for me was $5.99 a month for 12 months plus taxes and fees. I told him I was still hoping for a better deal since I was currently paying $30/6 mos. He magically found that $60 for 12 mos deal for me. With taxes and fees I will now be paying a total of $74 for 12 months. It’s definitely worth it to keep pushing them! It only took 9 minutes of my day.

CSR first offered downgraded package and was adamant discount rates were only for new subscriptions. Then after back and forth (including discussion about possible cancellation as only option for me) about the $60/12mo XM Select deal he offered $109/12mo. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, he placed me on hold and came back saying they would extend me the $60/12mo taxes and fees deal.

I have a Hyundai and apparently there are different prices for different cars. If I want Howard Stern, then I need the All Access. After going back and forth, I was going to accept $50 for 6 months ($67.08 with fees/taxes) I mentioned that I think it is disgusting that they discriminate against car types and I would look into a possible Class Action. She put me on hold and then reiterated that this was the best rate. I accepted it but I think it's important for us to all reference the package and car type for comparisons. Thanks to all for their suggestions.

I was put on hold and then advised this was the best offer, they cannot offer anything for 12 months. I accepted the 'deal' but I think when comparing, we should compare like packages and vehicles. Thanks everybody for their input.

FYI there are less taxes and fees if you go streaming instead of satellite.
so your overall deal will be better

Got the $228.53 auto-upgrade letter for XM Select. Called and asked for best deal on an All Access subscription and after some back and forth got 1 year All Access (including streaming) for $126. Well worth the call!

Got 12 months of all access for $141 (including all taxes and fees) plus an Amazon echo dot. They also offered 6 months for $50 plus taxes and fees so I paid a slight premium to avoid the dog and pony show for 1 year.

They started out with $8.33 a month excl fees & taxes for 6 months with a free echo dot. I refused and asked for the $99 special. After several offers varying from $160-$130 a year I ended up with paying $114 for 1 year All Access and a free Echo-dot. It pays to call back 3 times.

I called and got the same - went back and forth, put me on hold to talk to a supervisor, etc. I drug my feet with the cost and after putting me on hold a couple times lo and behold she was able to offer me 6 months for $50 plus a free Alexa...was hoping to get a year like others here but I'll take it. :)
