How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

The $115 came out of my account today (6 mos renewal). After looking at this website and comments, I called and today was my renewal date. Since today was my renewal date, it did not seem like it was too late. I explained it was too expensive, blah blah blah. He gave me a promo of 6 mos/$49. I asked if that was the best he had. He said he had another promotion for $5.99/1 year taxes and fees which would be $7.13/mo. I asked if I could pay up front for the year since they already took the money out of my account. He said no, it has to come out monthly. THEN he suggested that he will keep the payment as a 'credit' on my account and credit me the $28 left over. That way every month the payment will come out of my 'credit on the account' instead of me paying monthly. Total is $85.56 for the year (Select Plan). I just saved like $150 for a 10 minute phone call. Very happy.
 
Just now, $60 for 1 yr of select. Tax and other fess waived. Took a bit of talking but it worked!

Just got 12 months for $60 plus fees and taxes - they said today was first day of this new promotion
 
10-18-18 Just got $7.13 total a month for 12 months. just told the guy I'm not going to waste his or my time and I would renew at $5.99 a month for 12 months and low and behold I was eligible for that price. Taxes and fees $7.13 per month
 
Thanks for the info. I was able to get the $5.99/month plan for 12 months, and they credited my recent payment. Yay!
 
Just called today, 10/20, and, after asking to cancel, was offered 1 year for $7.39 per month, fees included. Probably could have gotten a better deal but this offer was acceptable: equals $88.68 for a year.
 
on 10/19/2018 I was able to renew 6 month all access for $60.00 . Customer rep ask why I was looking for a deal??
After laughing out loud I said because I wasn't going to renew at full price.. Ok Sir he said and started taking my information.
Too easy. Make sure your friends and family know about this deal especially those getting new vehicles.My son in law renewed at almost $200 a year because he ignored my advice.Young and dumb never gets old.
 
Called 10/19/18. I have Premium All Access, paying $28.18 monthly, subscriber for 11 years (yes, i never really thought about paying less til now :/). Said I want to cancel, my husband is looking over all the subscriptions (I'm not married), and wants us to cut back. Was offered $16 and change to stay at same terms. Said it wasn't good enough. Was then offered $14.76/mo. Agreed! Wow, what a great deal. Glad I found this site, good tips here.
 
Called 10/16/2018 and got 12 months of Select for $60, waived all others fees and taxes.
 
Called today 10/20/18 with 3 days left on my all access subscription. First offer was $157 for 12 months ($13.08/month). Said that was still too much and CSR came back with $60 for 6 months. I'm fine with $10 a month. Well worth my 12 minute phone call. I set a reminder to call again a couple days before it auto-renews.
 
Called today armed with the info others have kindly posted, stating my promo was expiring tomorrow and could they offer me something I could afford. After some back & forth, I was offered $88.88/year plus fees & tax for a total of $112.99 - for Canada. I think this is quite reasonable. Signed up my husband as well and on renewal, 2nd subscription gets a 33% discount. :)
 
Upon telling her that it was too expensive, front-line rep immediately transferred me to cancellation/retention specialist. Told her honestly the whole deal. Subscriber for 14 years, always paid full price. Bought a new Kia Niro in late July, nearing end of free trial. Only listen to a few channels, but 2 of them are only in Select and higher packages. Considering dropping XM and using my Spotify/smartphone/Kia UVO to listen to music with no additional cost. Did not want the hassle of a 6-month deal, wanted something for 12 months. Very polite rep with good English skills put me on hold a few times and eventually came back with XM Select for $5.99/mo taxes/fees = $7.13 billed each and every month for 1 year, then reverting to my old charge of $19.04/mo with no obligation and cancel any time. Great deal for now, will call them back in a year and negotiate again.
 
Currently have an All Access yearly plan for $136.54. It was set to renew in a few days at the new rate of $299.99/year. I called and after a bit of negotiations, got it down to $136.54 for another year.
