How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

I am a SiriusXM rep. Please don't call us telling us that you want a discount because we will just not give it to you right away.

Ask for a cancel. It's not because we don't want to give it to you. It's because we have rules to follow. We love you guys and we want to help you!

3 minutes on the phone and I got them to 30 dollars for 5 months. I said I wanted to cancel, I just couldn't afford it right now. They offered me 109 for 12 months. I said, still too expensive for my budget. Then they offered me $10 off that. I told them I wasn't looking to spend that much. They told me I qualified for a short term deal and that was all she wrote. I didn't let them sign me up for automatic billing and ask them to send me a reminder to my email before I need to renew.

Fastest renewal ever. Never had to 'go check with a supervisor.' For All Access she first offered $120 for a year. When I said that was more than I was paying now, She matched my current offer of $49.99 for 6 months.

I've gone througha 6 month cycle with them forever - Deal is 6 months for $30.
1) call - get deal
2) call a few days later - cancel service (still goes for 6 months and then stops
3) get $30 offer in mail when service is about to end.
4) Call a day or two before service ends to get deal
5) call a few days later to cancel
6) repeat forever...

I can't believe I'm actually typing this, but I think they finally woke up and realized I'd been calling every 5 months for the last 4 years. they sent me an e-mail saying they were going to renew me for $25 for 5 (which is what I get when I call) and I didn't have to call - they were just sending an invoice for $25. Can't believe they finally figured out I wasn't paying more.......all these years later.

I have tried to transfer my LIFETIME subscription to my new car. I didn't know that lifetime does not mean lifetime for me...only the lifetime of the car and its radio. I'm sure that everyone knows that this is a revolvling door that just goes on and on. Has anyone had this problem, and what can I expect to be the outcome?

Called once and the only offer available was $15.99/mo for All Access. (Had All Access for $49.99/6 months before). Told her I'd have to think about it, and called back and got a different rep, asked for the 6 month deal and got it.

just called...they offered 12 months for $129. When I refused, they then offered the 12 moths for $99. I refused that and the only other offer was 5 months for $40. I just had them cancel the service at the end of my current term (in 3 weeks). I figure they'll reach out to us in some way with a better promotion.

called today and renewed at 6 months for $36.99, which included taxes. we didn't have all access or streaming before, so i don't think that was in the plan. though i'm curious if anyone has successfully gotten a deal for service in 2 cars (i.e., 5 months for $25 for two cars vs. 1)

I just called to cancel my subscription to my car. I asked to cancel at least 6 times and the guy kept saying 'I understand....' another sales pitch....I need to go to sleep for an early flight tomorrow. I was calling from a foreign country. The rep clearly does NOT understand why I want to cancel (ending the promo rate and out of country and don't understand or trust whatever new plan they are trying to offer) or that I need to go to bed or that I am not interested in suspending my subscription until I return to my home country. If he did, he would cancel my subscription as I asked 6 times. I started to get upset actually and said so. 13 minutes on phone should have been 3 including the automated machine part. SiriusXM needs to fire some people or change their training of reps to actually do what customers ask before they get angry.

just spent 11 min on phone - talked to one rep, he offered $129/year, I said I wanted to cancel and he transferred me to specialist. Received $99 / year tax/fees but also had to pay additional $12 for being 2 weeks past the original due date for a total of $132.

spent 22 min on the phone and got 5 months for $25. so ridiculous to do this so often and that a call would take this long.

Just called. I got 6 months for $33 plus taxes & fees. A total of $39.47 for the select plan.

Just called. Total time on phone was 7 minutes. My subscription had auto-renewed yesterday at 3 months (Sirius Select) for $36.50 ($41.57 w/tax). I was able to get 5 months for $24.98 ($28.46 w/tax). They are crediting back my credit card for the extra I was charged yesterday.

Called to cancel XM Select. Presented the $99 offer for 1 year, followed by $50 offer for 6 months. I asked for the 5 month for $25 offer again. They put me on hold for 2 minutes and came back with this offer. $30 all in. Saved $2 by paying today on credit card but be sure to tell them this is a 1-time payment and to not auto renew.

Hold out for the offer of $29 for 5 months. You will first get the 1 year, then the 6 months at over double the monthly cost. I think they want to see if you are paying attention.
