How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

I've been a customer for 12 years and go through the nonsense of threatening to cancel twice a year but end up with 6 mos. for $25 every time! Never take the $99 a year as you're still paying too much when you can negotiate a whole year for $50 when you renew every 6 mos.

This method is by far the best method. I used to use the customer service number on the Sirirus Renewal flyer they sent out, which I believe is their general customer service number, and it was legit like pulling teeth to get a discount. They were willing to let me cancel and lose me as a customer. Every year I think of SiriusXM as less and less worth the money due to the increasing commercials. But, it is better than my local FM stations.

I just called, told them that $350 for two radios was not worth it, and I would have to cancel. She offered me $99 for both, which is $112.14 including taxes per radio.

For anyone who calls multiple times a year for multiple car radios, I suggest combining them. I did this, so you just renew one car early, and they give you a service credit, and then you can renew both cars at the same time. I hate doing this annually, never mind more than once a year. Good luck everyone!

We have 5 cars of course all purchased at different times, then factor in the free few months you get everyone has different rates and different renewal times..thinking of calling and seeing what they will do for the 5 or they all go. It is nice having a variety of stations when living in middle of nowhere we have limited FM plus dont have to listen to commercials BUT listening to the same songs in the same time slots in the same rotation in 2 week increments is maddening.

Yay! it worked for me too. $99. for the year instead of the crazy price of over $220 per year. Thank you the phone number!

Today, I called to cancel my subscription which ends 1/15/17. They immediately offered to sell me a 1-year subscription for a reduced price of $99 fees. I said 'no', and I was offered $47 fees for a 6-month subscription. I said 'no' and the rep 'went to her supervisor' and got me 'approved' for the $25 fees for 5 months - the same as I have been paying for the last 5 months. Note that they would not start the new subscription on 1/16/17 as I requested, but included a credit from today through 1/15. I would suggest you wait as long as possible before your expiration date to make the call to cancel.

Patience Patience.....
Yes it takes a while to go through the sales pitch.
I reorder every 4 months, 28 days, 2 cars at the $25 price.
I don't think its full access, but only listen to several of the music anyway.

A waste in the winter time, listen to news/weather Jan, Feb, March.

I just called Sirius XM to renew my ALL ACCESS subscription. Dropped my bill from $291 to just under $150 :)
They currently have ALL ACCESS at $120/yr fees/taxes.

The above number isn't really SiriusXM's phone number and they'll act like they can't find your account to get your information out of you! Please just go to SiriusXM's acutal web site and call. The hyper line to the phone number above will take you to a scammer! Just FYl!

Listen I go through this every 5 months, but if you call and say you want to cancel they will offer 1 year per vehicle for 99.00. If you say no then they will offer 6months for 50.00 per vehicle. If you said no to that then you will get the final offer of 5 months for 25.00 per vehicle plus taxes and fees which ends up 28.00.

I started 6 months ago for 61 dollar/ 6 month all access. I called today to renew and only spoke to the 1st CSR. His best deal was 49.99 plus fees and taxes = 61.88 for 6 more months. He said best deal on his end. Probably could of done better if I held out . He did offer 99 for a year but I declined thinking will see in 6 months if I can do better.

My deal is for XM (ALL ACCESS). Of course, starting out with a ridiculous dollar amount and with me telling her of all the deals I saw on line, she asked me what I was willing to pay. I told her $120.00 to include all taxes and fees for 1 year of all access. She put me on hold for less than a minute and came back to say yes. Took 18 minutes. (888) 601-6302 :)

I just got a renewal for my 2 cars @ $25 for 5 months, plus ~$5 in fees & taxes. It is the 'Select' package.

They wanted 138 in total, it just said 'cancel' and magically the bill dropped to 127.37 or 10.61 per month. I'm so tired of this game.

I just called the above mumber and they could mot find me anywhere despite having the Sirius statement on my hand. I called Sirius directly and got the $43 all in for six months after saying No to the $130 all in for a year deal.
