How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

Just got the 5 for 25 straight out of the gait, no questions, no hassles. Cost $26.97 total after they credited me for 6 days left from last promo and paying today

I was almost a month behind on renewal and since my card had been replaced they had no way to bill me and a notice came in the mail. I called and said the cost was too high and wanted to cancel or get a better deal, $25 for 5 months. My previous deal was $24.99 for 6 months. The CSR spoke perfect English with no accent. He cut the regular price in half for a year to the $99 taxes plan and I said that's nice, but I want $25 for 5 months. He couldn't find a code and had to contact a manager. He typed something into his computer and after about a minute, he got the code. I still got billed $13.13 since I was overdue bringing the total with taxes to $41.59. I agreed and set a calendar reminder for December so I don't get behind again. The whole process took about 15-20 minutes. Although the conversation was a little robotic, it was professional and I was continuously thanked and praised for all the years I have been a subscriber. If you are feeling unappreciated from others lately, just call Sirrus XM and they will make you feel much better for much less than a therapist charges.

So, I set a reminder on my phone for a few days before my deal exipiration to make sure I call Sirius. I called today (my deal expires in 2 days). Told them I wanted to cancel. They offered me 1-year at $99, I said too much. They offered me 6-months at like $46, I said too much. I told her I wanted the 5-months for $25, she said that she would have to put me on hold to check if that was available. LITERALLY, she put me on hold for 2 SECONDS (literally a two count) and then came back and gave me 5-months for $25. I mean it's a good deal but I am not sure why we have to go through this every 6 months (and I have two cars which have different expirations for Sirius, so I call 2x per year on each car. Anyway, hope this helps...

FYI...Best they still do for a year of Select is $89.

05/06/2016-05/06/2017 XM Select 1 Year $89.00

I just gave this info to someone else who got the same deal

Does the 99 a year or 25 for 6 months include the 2 Howard Stern channels?

YES, it does. These deals being talked about are the 'All Access' plan.

$25 tax/fees for 6 months. No hassle. No long holds or 'check with supervisor' pauses. Just make it clear that you will not renew if you don't get the discounted rate (be specific) of '$24.99 for six months'.

I was offered 5 months at $25 but I turned it down, then he said how about 6 months for $25 and I took that. Sometimes I wonder how low I can really go because a few years ago someone gave me 1 month for $1 (but it was a one time thing). I've also gotten 5 months for $20 but I don't know if they offer that any more.

Called tonight (5 days before my renewal). Asked to cancel because it was too expensive. Immediately offered me the $99 taxes/fees. Told them that was still too expensive (last time I got the select package for 12 months for $100 even including all taxes and fees). I asked about the $89 special for new vehicles, they put me on hold for a minute and came back and said they'd do it. 12mo of the select package for $89 (or $108 after taxes and fees). All in all with hold times my call was about 10min long. Have already set my reminder to do the same again next year.

Called to cancel. Got offered $119 for 1 vehicle and All Access streaming. Said no. Was then offered $99 for Select Plan. Said no. Said would consider staying for $99 and All Access plan. Was put on hold. Came back and said would give 'a $20 credit' to get the All Access down to that price. Agreed. Ended up being $123 after taxes and fees.

I just got 6 months for $25 but it was the Select plans has someone here actually gotten All Access at 6 months for $25?

Big props to this site. I was charged $109 today for a 6 month plan! Wtf, argued it down to $75. Then as i was chatting with the CSR online, I found this site, and posted some of the comments. Ended up getting the $25 for 5 months deal, and got $75 refunded to my CC. Thank you!

5 months 25 plus they waved late fees. Dont talk to first rep. Threaten to cancel. They will transfer to specialist who can make a deal.
P.S. You can do the same with AT&T

Does this notice work for new subscribers? Tried two different reps on the phone and one on the computer and they wouldn't budge on the price.
