I was up for renewal -- after my roughly $35 (w/taxes, etc.) 6 month special offer deal expired -- at more than $19/month. Nope! Not! Called customer service 2 days before the renewal date and got a friendly, helpful rep who first made the 12-month annual offer for $99 plus taxes (after I said I was cancelling because of the high monthly fee). I declined and she next went to $49.50 (half the $99 annual rate) for a six month subscription. I said that was still too high and said if she couldn't do better than that I was cancelling. She then offered 5 months at $24.99 plus fees. That I will do...and did. I also changed from credit card payment to invoice ($2 extra, although she waived it this time for some reason) so that any 'automatic' renewal is up to me and can't automatically be charged. Worth it. So, yay, still have my same service as before for another 5 months. Then will have to call back in a day or 2 before the next renewal rate to play this game again. As many here have already said, why Sirius makes customers go through this game instead of setting realistic pricing to start with is just mind-numbingly dumb from a client retention/satisfaction point of view. Good luck, everyone!
