How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

I just renewed mine.....it went up, unbeknownst to me, to over $17 per month. First went on chat with them & lowered it to $106 for the lowest program they offer. Then found this site & called customer service & got the highest program again which I originally had, for a year now at $99 year, then with royalties it's $106 for the year

Dealt with this today. Noticed my credit card charge for renewal. Called to check how long it was renewed for. Referenced my lack of certainty with the price after being informed it's 6 months. Offered nothing. Ended the call to check online for the common rates. Called back, expressed my dismay with the rate and politely asked what discounts may be available for 3-12 months. I was very clearly informed that the 'discounts are no longer available' for my account. Proceeded to try online chat, and was again informed nothing available. Stated that an old radio has an offer for 6 months at $29, and was told that if I can see it online, I can go ahead and activate that... Ok, but can YOU give a comparable deal to my current account so I don't have to cancel it just to activate another at a lower rate? Nope, told that wasn't possible and from 'our end' they couldn't see any deals.

Called again. Went straight for the cancel options. Immediately asked the gentleman if it were going to be necessary for me to do the silly thing of cancelling one to re-activate another at a discount. He instantly offered me 12 months for $99. Good enough, thank you. Ridiculous, but worth it. An extra 6 months for $12 more after taxes/fees.

what is with all of the ads while waiting for a customer rep? T-Mobile? DishNetwork? AllState? Free Five Night at Disney with Alamo Car Rental? Thanks for making a stronger case to cancel.

Husband's radio got XM select for one yr $99 - with tax and fees $119
My radio - all access plan with Internet radio $131 for one yr which includes taxes and fees

First person said no, sent to 'specialist' to cancel and got deals....
Invoicing next time to avoid automatic renewal - no invoice charged bc we are in NY state

just tell them you got an offer for 6 months at $25, they will check with their manager. it ends up being just over $28 for 6 months after all fees and everything. this has worked for me for the past 3 years.

Called today and first asked to cancel. The rep asked why I said cost. He offered me 99yr for XM select package. I asked for 25 for 6 months. He checked and then came back on and agreed. Now I have two radios on the $25 6 month plan. Thank goodness... Thanks for the help.

i have been doing this for years!! i usually get 5 months for $24.99 after going through a few rounds sometimes with multiple people and finally getting the price i want.

any idea if this works for customers who need to restore their service after it expired? I have been with em since 2013 and due to my taxes not being to me on time i had no $ in my account and they suspended it due to non payment

When is Sirius going to honor their existing customers? Its such a sham to be billed over $20 per month, plus some ridiculous fees, when they offer it for $25 for 5 months to get a new customer. I am getting so tired of this, all the while they are adding more commercials to their programming. And, doesn't it always seem like Howard is on vacation?

Just got the new rate of $99/year after calling and threatening to cancel. I love that you have to threaten to cancel in order to get a discount. But, I got it, so I'm with them for another year...

Been on phone twice, total of 45 min. First call, Rep from Philippines, after 15 min on phone stating that they charged my credit card without permission. Told them last time i agreed to a contract that I Stated that it was a one time charge and they do not have my permission to charge my card in the future, Bill Me. Got nowhere and hung up. Called back and spoke with someone in TEXAS. Explained what was going on, and after much time we came to a understanding. I have two vehicles that have XM. they had charge my credit card 86.37 and stated that was fraud and that I never authorized a charge. After a few rounds I was given a plan for 6 months for $25 per vehicle, Total per vehicel with taxes 30.45, Total for both 60,90. Credit card credit of 25.47. I like XM Radio and hate that we have to Bardeen to get a lower price. Its painful and stressful, wish they could give a bottom line price. I think if they actually did this they would get many more new and satisfied customers. 6 months and I'll be back at it, yaaaaaaaaaa

We only listen to 2 or 3 different stations and I wasn't paying $15 / month but I do like 'no commercials '. So for the past few years, every 5 months, I call and get it for $5/month. I am not thrilled with having to call every 5 months but it's worth the 10 minute phone call. I have never had a hard time with anyone I have spoken too.

Yet again $99 for the year with no problems. Probable helps to mention some of the other options just Spotify or Pandora when mentioning the cost. Took all of 10 minutes total to complete

Just called and told them my 5 months was up this Sunday and I'd like to renew at the same rate 24.99 for 5 months or I will just quit. She said that plan was not available but she did have 6 months for 30.00. I accepted that total 33.72 and I'm good for the next 6. Total time 6 minutes

Called and canceled select plan due to due to price. Declined $99 for one year offer. Declined 5 mo for $25 offer insisting I would accept $25 for 6 mo. After the CSR checked with supervisor, my offer was accepted - 6 mo for $25 plus tax & fees totaling $28.15

just got 6 months for $24.99 taxes and invoice fee total of $30 and some change. Good deal !!

Just called and went through the various games as other people have said. Bottom line, they first offered $99 for 12 months, then $49 for 6 months. I insisted on $25 for 6 months and after the rep 'talking to their supervisor', they accepted. Total time....10 minutes.
