How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

I just spent 15 min on phone (yes - annoying) but got the $99 per year offer plus fees for a total of $112.76 for a year. I'm happy. Much better than the $197.93 on the invoice. I never do the credit/card/debit card thing for auto renewal for this merchant. I always do a check so I don't get charged automatically. I have more leverage this way. My husband got $89 per year back in December. Oh well..works for me. I do the same thing with Dish network every couple of months to keep my bill below $100
 
My wife got a renewal notice at $206 for 12 months at Select plan. Using your websites information, I called and got upgraded to All Access for $129 for 12 months! The customer service guy was great, and very helpful. Thank You!
 
Just got the $99/year deal. Just let them know I saw a deal for $99/year but am not being offered it online. Asked if they would still be able to honor it and they did. Yay!
 
Went from 99/yr to 44/6mos to accepting 25/5 months. Worked for me. Plus it was the best deal they could offer, so I grabbed it.
 
They are so full of it. I asked them for $89 a year, and they said they didn't have that promotion. Then they said I could have a sports and news only package (no Howard Stern) for about that. I said no, and please cancel. She said, 'OK. I can discontinue your service right now.' I said, 'Yes, please do.' Then all of a sudden, she said that since I'm a 'longtime loyal customer' she could ask her supervisor if there was anything they could do. She put me on hold. (I doubt she asked a supervisor, probably just filed her nails). and lo and behold-- I got the $99 package plus music royalty fee and taxes. Came to $115.
 
had a balance of 53.22 got a wonderful guy to remove the balance owed and got 5 month for $28.46 with fees. I am happy with what I received. Thank you to this site. Took about 15 minutes.
 
Just went through the routine:

Me: Cancel
SXM: $99/y ($113 total)
Me: Nope
SXM: 'But it's ONLY $113'
Me: No
SXM: 'But it's ONLY $113'
Me: Let me talk to your supervisor...5m later
Me: Your associate is very rude telling me it's ONLY $113
SXMsupvr: Offers $45/6m
Me: No, please cancel
SXMsupvr: Offers $29/5m
Me: OK..
 
Just got 6 months for $24.99 tax = $30 and some change. Didn't have to haggle for price. I stated I received a letter in the mail for 6 months @ $24.99 no questions asked. Honored the deal!! AWESOME!
 
25 for 5 months. I've done this for 2 years, so i know the whole song and dance. Just be polite and patient. Normally when i call and ask they just say ok we can do that. This time the lady wasn't budging much so i just said honestly thats all im wlling to pay or i'll cancel (which is true) Before it was 6 months for 25, now its 5 months. Wouldn't be surprised if they change it to 4 months, at which time ill cancel.
 
Everyone is talking about this great deal but noone is stating what access they are getting. All the channels some of the channels??? No NFL, No talk radio etc...
 
Called to cancel. They offered me 1 year at 99, declined. Then they offered 6 months for 45. Declined. He put me on hold, came back and then offered 5 months/25. Accepted. 9 minutes total. Worth it! I paid a extra $2 to get a invoice in the mail vs giving them a credit card.
 
4 minute call - got 6 month deal for $33.18 (including taxes). The guy did offer a year for $99, but I declined and said the cost was too high. He was polite and efficient!
 
Took over half an hour and I still don't think the representative gave me the proper discount. Kept being told $99 was not for All Acess that it was for Select. Kept getting quoted $136.....

It also seems to depend on whether your radio is Sirius or XM ... at least that's what they had me believe when I bargained for 1 year (my car is XM) for $119.88 including 'All Access' (includes NFL and internet streaming) on Jan 29 - I did see someone posting $99 that day for 1 year of Sirius.

Then yesterday I received a mailing for our other car with Sirius, offer is '$29.94 for 6-month and $99.00 for 1-Year' ( fees & taxes) - the flyer states, 'keep what you love ...' which I assume means our current service (which is All Access).
 
I just tried to renew. Called their customer advocacy unit and told them the offer they mailed me was too much! I said unless they can do better I was going to cancel. The American told me, I can do you 129 per car plus taxes and royalties. I told him that was too much! I was looking for a deal like I had, 78 per vehicle inclusive of taxes and royalties. He said he could not do it. I asked if there was someone else I could talk to for a better deal, he said no one and no better deal. He gave me my 2 cancellation confirmation numbers and hung up!
