How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

$25 plus tax and music fee for 6 months. Been doing this game with xm or Sirius for years.

Called, threatened to cancel, got $99/yr plus TravelLink (traffic, weather, gas prices) at half off which came to about $12. Total deal - $119. I think the rep just needs to hear you say 'otherwise I'm going to cancel' in order to start giving you the deals. It probably has something to do with auditing.

Just got 34.04 all in for 6 months. So 68.08 for the year. I have 3 vehicles so quite a savings even over the 99 per year offer. Really not a big deal to call every 6 months.

just got off the phone.................1 year subscription siriusXM went from $191.88 taxes down to $113.56 INCLUDING taxes for the upcoming year. Gonna do it every year at renewal time! woot! woot!

Just got the $25 for 5 month deal for each of two vehicles after being offered $99/year per vehicle.

I just called and spoke with a listener care person. She could not help me so I asked that she transfer me to an Account Specialist. Remember that term (Account Specialist). They were able to give me the $99.00 for 1 year promo rate. Iasked if they could give me a $10 discount of waive the musuc Royalty fee and she gave me a $10 discount. Total price $100.01 for 1 year. I can accept that. I was nice to her and asked how things were in the Phillipinees. Such smooth talk you know. Never hurts. Next step would have been to ask for a Supervisor. I have been a customer for 5 years as well.

Just got 98.47 with taxes n fees. Took 35 minutes. Anyone beat that for the year? I dont have time for the six month game so $48 or so extra for me works. Good luck everyone oh alao took transfer to another rep to handle my frustration with price.

I let my subscription expire a month ago after declining the $89 plus fees and taxes offer. Yesterday I got a letter offering six months for $30 plus taxes and fees. I called and asked what the total was with taxes and fees and was told $36. I said that was a little more than I wanted to pay and asked if they could do better and was offered six months for a grand total of $34.10. I also said I wanted to pay by check or money order and asked them to waive the statement fee of $2 which they did. I always pay by money order so they can't charge my checking account for renewals. I think the fine print says they will do that if you pay by check.

I call every 6 months and just ask nicely for $25 (plus fees) for 6 months and they renew it at that rate. Then I ask to set up a cancellation for 6 months from that date so I don't forget and get charged full price. They will of course send you an expiration reminder.

Called the cancellation department and the guy was very nice. I told him I want to cancel, he said 'let me pull up your account and see how I can help you today'. He offered the $99 package, no questions asked. This was after a 5 minute phone call I received from them and the woman said that per her supervisor, there were no promotions.

$108.64 total (taxes and fees) for a full year. Ensure you edit your account online to receive an automatic subscription renewal notice via standard mail. I use this notice as my reminder each year to renew at the discounted price.

just got 48 tx 5 for 1/2 year, full service. after that will need to call since they will be charging this amount every 3 mo.

Ok guys, do this:
1. Tell them you want to cancel because this is a lease car and you are returning it in 6 months.
2. They will switch you to “Account Specialist”. Make sure you are talking to “Account Specialist”, otherwise you are wasting your time and will be switched again.
3. Once you mention 6 months, they will offer you $24/6month deal plus tax which is about $28 and change. If they don’t offer you this deal, just keep saying “too expensive, please cancel”. They will!
4. Tell them you don’t have a credit card, mail invoice instead. They will charge you $2 invoicing fee, ask them to waive it, they will. You will thank me for this. It will be a nightmare once they got a hold of your credit card. Oh, also give them a fake or useless phone number.
5. Once you receive a renewal invoice in 6 month, which will be $108/6 month, go thru this routine again. It’s worth the 10 minute hassle to save $80 every six months.

On the phone for 6m35s. Received the same promotion I had before, $49.99/6 months of All Access which came out to $63.81 with taxes, fees, and a $2 invoice charge. They were also offering $120/yr ($150 with taxes and fees).

I just renewed for $25 for six months, I called and rejected the $14 a month and told them to cancel my subscription because my car has a radio and 64gbs of music in the jukebox, an account specialist came on the line and offered me $99 a year and I told her too much $$$ for my budget but I could handle around $4.50 so bottom line $28.30 for 6 months and it includes all taxes and fees.

Thanks, called & took 50 minutes but retention rep did the $99 deal and aligned it with another account so saved some there too. Added the internet access for $20 so will see how that works out. Glad I read these posts.

Took about 20 minutes. Told them I wanted to cancel because of finances and $200 was too much for 12m renewal. They offered the $99 package plus taxes, no paper billing fee, and I took it. Thank you so much for the advice.
