How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

I called and got right through. I just called in and said I wanted to cancel because of the price. The guy did not hesitate to allow me to keet the all access deal I had from last year for $156.20. I get to listen to XM all day at work and in each of my vehicles throught bluetooth.
 
I just called also. I found it helpful to have a spreadsheet open so I could capture all the options that were thrown out. My bottomline calculation was 'what's it going to cost me per month?' I got several offers including 5, 6, and 12 months. Then there was the program plan, select or all access. I wanted to keep my Internet radio. It is included with the all access plan but is not on the select plan. Again, this is why it was helpful to have the spreadsheet open! Anyway, the net result of my call was more channels, keeping Internet access, and my monthly cost dropped from $22.71 to $9.97. It's only good for 6 mos but I will be calling back in January to do this dance again.
 
it works. it really really works. hard your stand and tell them you cannot afford it at this time. you will get transferred froma non American call center tot he US where someone will quote a 'low rate'. just push politely and say you will drop it or cancel Sirius. when they want to charge for the paper bill tell them you mail is slow and you just got it.

I must have had a bad agent. Couldn't get the deal everyone else was getting but was told to call back next month as each month they offer different promos.
 
I just got a three month free trial and the 6 month promotion for $25 after the trial ends. My customer service rep was polite, helpful, and professional. I will definitely call and cancel once my 6 month promotion is up to renegoiate.
 
Just called and spoke to 'Paul'. I said I was going to cancel and he offered me a year for $89.99 and I said that was still too much. He put me on hold and came back with $25 for 6 months. Il call back in 6 months just as I've been doing for years now.
 
I called the number just now and my bill went from$204 to $91.61. They gave me the $99/year and gave me a $23 prorated credit because I was 6 weeks prior to my renew date. Then with taxes and fees, it ended up at the $91.61. I'm thrilled. I paid $195 last year!
 
Just called to 'cancel.' My bill had a total of $259.55 for my car and internet radio. They offered my $132.10 for 12 month renewal.
 
I've attempted this trick with multiple radios and have accepted multiple discounted offers for 6 and 12 months in the past. Today I called at 2pm EST and spoke with an American who would not budge on any pricing.
 
I just got refunded $180. They gave me 6 months for 24.99 ( tax and royalty fee) 29 total. I told them I found the promotion online. You have to say that you will cancel if you don't get a better rate. Hooray!
 
just called, no wait time, and asked to cancel or give me the deal of $25 for 6 months, total $27.85 and requested an invoice so I didn't have my credit card out there. I have it in my car only, and as I spend very little time in the car only wanted to pay very little for the service ..thanks everyone for all the tips
 
I tried to speak to an international person as well as chat and they refused to give me a deal
 
i just got 1 year all access for 145.75 (taxes included) and that was after out of country in country CSR reviews. Finally they seemed nto to budge any lower... if it renew next year at 291.00

Yes! It works! $99/year and I moved my other 2 contracts to the same price! :) Happy Sirius listener! It did take 20 minutes on the phone, please cancel, ok, I'll talk to a specialist. And bam! $99 instead of the renewal cost of $175 !
 
Thank you for this tip! All comments are correct...foreign call bank if just wanting customer service but American if you are wanting to cancel. And, this wasn't a deal unless you were willing to cancel...which I most definitely was as I really only listen to a couple of channels...which is not worth full price to me. Also, you catch more flies with honey so be nice and patient and they will be too!
 
Hey Hey I called and was told i could get three month for $59.00 i said to the rep that's to much ask for cancellation department, got transfer spoke to a Csr and got 6 months for $25.00 5.00 taxes total of $30.00 for 6 months come Feb I will be calling and singing the same ole song thanks everyone one for the tips and also be nice and patient it will take you a long way.
 
why would you want a contract for $99 for 1yr when they offer $25 for six months
