How to Get a Discount on Sirius XM Radio Subscription

Have been doing this for about 3 years, but I thought I had to say I wanted to cancel my subscription to get the discount. However, this time I took the advice from this site to just ask for the deal I wanted. Asked for the $24.99 for 6 months and got it right away, no haggling at all. Call took less than 7 min. Set a reminder on my phone for a week before the date he said my account would run out so I can do it again. So for $50 a year I have xm.
 
are there any specials I can ask for on the Howard access? We bought our truck in Sept 2014 and thought we had 1 year of Sirius/XM. Received notice that it expires on June 11, reactivated and just assumed it was for the same service we had up til now.
that was a rude awakening...39.00 for 6 months and now they are telling me 148.45 if I wish to have the same access we have just lost.
Yikes...I realized there would be some difference but not that much.
Any help/guidance will be appreciated
 
I had received a notice in the mail for renewal of $614 (taxes included). I called earlier today and was only offered $20 off. I then googled Sirius xm discount and found this website. I followed the directions above and was able to renew for $89 for one year (which comes to $109 with tax). The only catch is that it will automatically renew 1 year from now at the then existing rate. My guess is you have to call back and threaten to cancel again. Big picture I appreciate the posts below and this website.
 
Just called and got $24.99 for 6 months. Indicated renewal price was too much and what better deals could they offer. Auto-renewal in 6 months at a higher price, but I will just call and renegotiate again.
 
I called and was transferred to a 'account specialist' that was able to change the XM Select subscription to $30/6 months.
 
12 min into this call and she has put me on hold to consult with supv'. I advised her that it was too expensive. she met me half way. Im okay with what I got. All access pass. I could not get it for what i wanted (which was 109 with tax) did get the 1 year deal which I was pleased with. See what happens next year. Thanks for this site guys/gals doing a great job!!!
 
I just got 1 year of the All Access for 89 tax. I told them I wanted to pay with a check so they wouldn't automatically charge me next year, and they said there was a $2 fee for that. I didn't even have to pay today, because they will mail a new invoice (or I can just mail the old invoice with the new price on it.) Originally they were going to give me the same deal I had a year ago which was about $130, but I said I really wanted the All Access for 89. They said I could have Basic for 89, so I repeated that I really wanted the All Access, and he checked with a supervisor, and now I have it for the next year. So glad you have all posted what you were able to get so I knew what was possible. The 6 months for $25 is the very best deal, of course, I just don't want to spend a half hour every six months negotiating this, so 12 months for 89 is fine with me. Again, thanks for posting all the comments.
 
Asked what deals they had to offer (which were all full price). Stated that i didn't want to haggle about prices, and that i just wanted the $89/year price...they magically found it and it ended up being a total charge of $108.47 with royalties and taxes. Thanks a bunch for all the info!!
 
Is the $89 for All Access or for Select? They offered me Select, and then with the additional Navigation/Internet it's almost twice the price.
 
Could one add another vehicle on this plan for 25 for 6 months? Guess I will ask for best deal to add a second vehicle. Our existing subscription running out in two weeks...

Got the $89 plus tax deal. Same as deal I got last year. Tried to renew at $179. Told the rep that I was going to cancel unless I got the same $79 deal as last year for the XM Select. Worked.
 
Called a few times. The first couple I was offered nothing but full price. Called back again and was offered $119.88 before taxes for a full year of Sirius All Access.
 
worked for me today. no haggling. about 60 for 6 months. Will have to call back in december. Will do! Thank you!
 
FOUND A GREAT DEAL!! Got a FREE sirius satellite car radio from Sirius Corporate. This radio is great as long as you have an Aux and cigarette for power. You'll have to pay for the 1st month. Before the 1st month ends, negotiate 6 months All Access or for Select for $25. You need to have 6 months of continual service to keep it free. If you cancel before 6 months, you'll have to pay for the phone or return it.
 
Just got 6 months for 28.40 total. Had to talk my way down from full price to 54.97 for 6 months to 28.40 when I told them I was expecting $25.00 for 6 months.
 
We just got our renewal bill for all access for one radio. $273.22!!!! Are you kidding me?? What a rip off. I am calling tomorrow to see what kind of deal I can get. Thanks for the info!
