Just brewed some apple cinnamon tea, walloped off a chunk of cheese cake, and I am watching the waterfowl bounce around on the bay! :) Peace and quiet, it is a great day!:claps:

Holy smokes!:( Next time tell them if they are going to cause a commotion, for them to bring their mower over to YOUR lawn, and, cut your leaves as well! Shucks, seems fair to me...you wake me up, you owe me some leaf cutting!:28:

Oh wow Faerie, did they hit it with their car/truck, or was it kids? The critters around here about once a year go on a rampage, grab baseball bats and have go at whacking the mail boxes.:( Sheesh, one would think it is gettng to cold for them to be out and about anyway! Hope you get a nice new one up soon!

Pretty sure it was on purpose. A couple of boxes down the road are totally smacked off the posts. Ours was splintered into plastic bits. It says a lot for my duct taping job though. The box stayed on the post. LOL We got a new one that we will set up tomorrow. We called the police about it though. It's not something funny or silly. It's destruction of personal property. Twits. :mmph:
 
it's colder than a, well let;'s just say it's really freakin cold here! :umbrella: :snow:
 
Argh, we have 2 inches of snow and it keeps coming down. We can't put the mailbox up now. Hopefully on Tuesday. :(

Any "leads" or ideas as to who the cuprits are in this situation? Any of your neighbors dealing with the same thing? Just nasty, plum nasty behavior. :mmph: Stay inside, keep warm, and, enjoy the day.

No leads. Probably never will have any either. But, we will call the police on Monday and let the Trooper know that two other boxes down the road were hit clean off the posts. Why would this be fun for people? It is just expense and aggravation for us. Hopefully it was not someone who just lost a bundle at the new casino and decided to take it out on the locals. LOL
