Odd comments that have nothing to do with anything else...

I just spent the last hour getting silly putty off of my son's pajamas. He woke up with it all over his PJ shirt. I AM BANNING SILLY PUTTY!

You need Lestoil. I bet it would have taken it out in the wash. Of course then it might be all gooping up your washer! Be glad it wasn't his hair!
 
I thought you could freeze the garment and peel the hardened putty off easily.
 
It's fleece. I managed to get 99.9% of it off. The stick and pull technique worked. LOL
 
This is not good. I am quite sick now, but hoping for a miracle of wellness. My daughter is very sick and my son is also Mr.Sick. I am going to try to get us all into the Dr.'s office. I don't normally request it, but I want him to give us antibiotics.

The worst part is that we are supposed to go away to Long Island for Thanksgiving, and now I don't think I can do it. I feel too awful to do everything. That means we have nowhere to go for Thanksgiving and not ready or well enough to do it ourselves. :( But, I am thankful to be breathing. LOL
 
Poor Faerie! You guys have been sick so much this year! That happened to us a couple years ago! I'm usually against antibiotics (Rag's can post about the subject I'm sure!)...but anyway this particular year it seemed we were all sick non-stop until it got so bad my littleist one was given the meds. Once he cleared up it seemed we all got better and the cycle ended. So maybe they'll help you guys too! It seems w/kids they always get sick for holidays or out-of-town trips!

PS...If you really arn't well enough to cook it all yourself here's an idea. I don't know if the deadline to order past buy our grocery store here (Giant Eagle) was selling an entire t-day meal-turkey and all the trimmings for somewhere around $60-$80.

Oh you poor thing. You have had such a rotten time of it with illness in the family.:( Sweetie, remember, antibiotics do not work on cold/flu illnesses. However with that being said, the same cold/flu illnesses will precipitate a bacterial infection. With children as you know, usually that will be in the ears, throat, or lungs. Have your children taken the flu mist/shots yet? Are you a veggen? May need to readjust the diet if so? Contrary to popular belief, I am in favor of alternative medicine. Not only for my patients, but, my own family and dog as well. Yes, me too! LOL I do go for the herbal remedies, exercise, yoga, etc before I reach for the prescription pad. See what the doctor has to say, take a list of questions with you because with sick kids, we Mommy's/Daddy's are usually so busy shuffling them around, we often forget to ask questions. And ask the doctor for "options!" No harm in doing so.

Molds at this time of year run rampant, the leaves are falling, it is damp, and boom kids develop one illness after another. Which of course as parents we all know, we get it too! :( Perhaps if you can get them cleared up, you will feel better as well. What a bummer that it has to hit your family now, with the Holidays breathing down your next.

Wow is it quiet around here! Everyone must be in transit or cooking!
 
Ok Ragnarok, I have hit a wall of doctors that won't do what it takes to help with Fibromyalgia pain and the SEVERE migraines I get, normally, I need to get a shot and 2 days of a narcotic painkiller and phenergan to get rid of the headache, I tell them that, they don't listen, they give me some jacked up anti-inflamitory and I am sick anywhere from a week to 3 weeks with the same migraine, as it is now I wake up everyday with a headache and backpain, BUT, seeing as how you seem to be knowledgeable about natural meds, what would an alternative be? I am SICK of being sick and I am sick of fighting doctors to get the meds I need to ease the pain.
 
I am eating a Little Debbie's Christmas Tree snack cake and it is soooo good! :)

That sounds sooo familiar. I don't know how many times I had to pick silly putty out of clothes or out of the carpet! Silly putty is evil! :p

Why can't I just stop eating that darn chocolate!
 
Bragging a bit here....I was told that the cheesecake I made tonight was the best it's ever been. :proud: :p :p
