Odd comments that have nothing to do with anything else...

Congrats Clubby! Nice job running. Glad you had fun on the wine tour. I would love to go on one of those. :)

Clubby, now you have me curious. What is different about the Ethopians' posture when they run?

they run like cheetahs sort of... slightly forward, butts tipped upward (on your "haunches" as my friend Gabby says)... takes a lot of lower back/butt muscle... i'm working on it... but, if you've ever taken a spinning class or climbed a serious hill on a bicycle, you know the position... it's out of the saddle, medium tension, powering through...

looks like you're running to find the bathroom, but it works!!! i swear it's my spinning class that's helping me to be a better runner!

now, off to teach it for the second time today... i need some rest...

yeah, i prefer to swallow.. :ignore:

:28:

i got pretty toasted though... no, actually, drunk would be the word... we went to 5 wineries over a period of 5 hours. it was fun... yummy cheeses and fudge and olives...
:cocktail:

...... i focused on running with the posture the ethiopians use- it's very similar to the way south american natives run... anyway, i just flew when i ran like that...

That's my sis, run like the Ethiopian Native you are! :p

LOL

:claps: Congrats on you PR! ;)

Has anyone else noticed all the campaign ads that just try to make you vote against a candidate? What happened to trying to convince us to vote for someone instead?

Better yet.......why do we have to have all this campaign crap stuffed down our throats and up where the sun doesn't shine a full year before anything is to happen? Can't they gear up like six months in advance? The platforms will change, candidates will come and go, and stories and lies will revolve over the next year so why bother in advance? So far, no one has captured my interests......I know who I will NOT vote for, just not who I WILL vote for.

Personally, I am already sick of all the Christmas commercials. The stores had Christmas items out at the beginning of October. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

What about radio stations that play only Christmas music. The station I normally listen to at 11:00 am today started 24/7 Christmas music. Waayyyyy too early in my opinion.

Then I guess I shouldn't tell you that I have two trees decorated in the house, and, lights up outside ready to be turned on? :teeth: Actually it is a matter of necessity for me, we get blasted with rotten weather in November and I am traveling in December again, so time is limited. Haven't paid any attention to tv commercials since I rarely turn on the telly. Let's start eating candy in celebrating of Valentine's Day NOW!!! LOL

And, the same station will STOP playing the Christmas carols the day after Christmas! :ohwell:

I like listening to Christmas music. You only get to hear it once a year, so the longer it's played, the better.

I enjoy the classical xmas music. Music about Santa and presents and snow doesnt do it for me. On xmas morning last year I made my mom turn it off! lol.. Its okay, I played the Nutcracker Suite instead. I can only hear Bing Crosby sing White Christmas so many times before I start looking for an axe... It prolly wouldnt be so bad if they would write some new ones.

I don't vote anymore, I much prefer amusing myself watching candidates coming to my door with free stuff trying to "earn" my vote, LOL!

You can do both. You can laugh at them and still vote. You really should vote. Really.

I feel rather ambivalent about the voting issue. It is a right we have as Americans, yet, it is also a personal choice as to whether one exercises that right or not. Some folks feel so passionate about politics and voting and others for a myriad of reasons elect not to participate. I am never really comfortable about pushing the issue, one way or another. :ohwell:

I dont really push the issue, But I dont mind making the comment that people should vote. Not that it matters, We still ended up with Dubya even though he lost the election, so...
