Glad she's OK Dan. Now's your chance to score some big points by spoiling her rotten and taking care of her. We're suckers for that stuff!;)

Mission well in hand.

Thanks

unfortunately it's almost always contagious...and it seems to be going around! take your vitamins and get lots of rest...getting sick when you're prego is so rotten since there's hardly anything you're allowed to take. hope he's better quick, and hope you don't get it!

You are right - almost everything is contagious! Trust me I have been getting plenty of rest (my nausea pills put me to sleep) and always take the vitamins. I dont know what is wrong with him - he was throwing up Thursday and he felt queasy all weekend. Now he is congested, sore throat and headache. Hopefully I wont get it - when I (and everybody around us) was sick with this virus back in July he didnt get it from any of us (Kadin never gets anything - he is the healthiest boy alive! Thank God!). So I am hoping he returns the favor! lol
I had THE worst head cold when I prego with Kadin - I couldnt even lay down the pressure in my head was so bad - I just sat up in bed all night watching tv! It stunk!!!!!

I think I found my brother on Spoofee.

He and my former sis-in-law use Spoofee cause they're the ones that told me about it, but we never talked about what our usernames are.
They don't post/read this section so they're not bound to come across me.

Is it strange that I find this creepy? I adore my brother!

I know I'm gonna be in the minority here...but oh well.

I think any one over the age of 55 (or even 50!) should have to re-take their driver's license test every 2 years to renew their license.

Also, a $25 fine for driving without a valid license is far too low. (If its over a year, then the fine is $200)
why not have it be $25 for 2 weeks after expiration date and then $200. Also for every month, it should be another $25.

In PA it costs $20 to renew your license...and once you get your photo ticket for the DMV that can serve as a license for up to 10 days past the license expiration date. Thats a decent amount of time considering you get your photo ticket 2 months before your license expires.

:mmph:

Never shy away from minority opinions.

road test only, or written, too? how about parallel parking. (in new york they should probably add a test section on double parking ...)

indeed.

Never shy away from minority opinions.

I usually like to remain silent on controversial things or when my opinion isn't the popular one. I don't like confrontation.

both...in PA, part of the road test is parallel parking, so definately include that. Also, an eye test should be included...which in PA is part of the written exam, but its like "can you see the balloon? which side is it on?" wow..hard.:mmph:

IMHO, it has little to do with age, until you're talking 80s
It's attitude, respect for others, and paying attention to what you're doing (DRIVING), not everything else.

NY requires the vision test for renewal. It's not as stringent as an opthalmologist might give, but you do have to test at worst 20/40 vision on the Snellen test.

I work at a place with more drivers than parking spots. People are always struggling to squeeze into spaces that don't exist. I'd like to make a driving test, or better yet a parking test, a requirement to get a parking permit. I always chuckle watching some of the other math teachers trying to park. You'd think that at least a math teacher should understand the geometry of steering a car.

I agree, I know it would not be feasible, but every one should have to take a written review of laws, a road test and a reminder class about paying attention & being courteous. When we lived in NY I would just laugh when I came to a 4 way stop because everyone would just sit there - like wondering who should go first! (it was the other side of the state - not the city!)
