Marlboro Outwit The West

sorry haven't been any help on this group ya'll .. hopefully will be able to work on unaswered ones this evening.. : (

I'm still looking for a good sight to play the morse code back to . just want to be sure. Arizona has 20 state symbols. Can we find them all????

How do you get James for 27 and the morse code? i recorded the morse code and slowed it down 50 percent and still couldn't keep up. #26 rocks i agree, #28 arizona is correct and the number sounds right but i'm gonna double check in the morning with a clear head,#29 i agree distillery. Thanks to all you who post. I have 690 points and owe it all to you.

I changed my answer for #28. I believe the answer is Arizona but I have 7. Started off with 12 but then re-read the question and really searched for OFFICIAL items.

i dont get how most of yall have close to 700 points and i still only have 590 a little bummbed but its better then the no points i would get with out everyones help!!

#28...
Which state has the most official symbols that can be found in this picture?
And how many are there?

"and how many are there" as in, how many are in the picture? OR "how many are there" as in, how many official symbols does that state have?

Tricky wording...

For # 28 Does anyone think the tree on the menu is a palo verde tree? Kinda looks like one.

no even at half speed it was too fast for me to write down. i can't find a program to slow it down more

This is what I have for official state symbols
1 nickname "grand canyon state" on postcard
2 State motto "ditat deus" on clock
3 reptile - rattlesnake in picture
4 fish - apache trout in picture
5 fossil - petrified wood in picture
6 gem - turquoise on bolo tie
7 state neckwear - bolo tie
8 state colors - blue and gold - stripes on coffee cup
9 state seal - on health certificate on wall
10 state cactus saguaro - i think the small one on left top is a small saguaro
11 State tree - palo verde - possibly the tree on the menu

does anyone see any more "official" state symbols?
some of their other state symbols are a butterfly, arizona march song, cactus wren (i saw a pic of one sitting on a cactus identical to the one on the top left of photo), state flower is saguaro cactus flower but the cactus in pic are not in bloom, thats all the state symbols there are i believe. if you see some of the ones i didn't find in pic please respond.

also i recorded the morse code and slowed it to half speed and it was still too fast to write down. if anyone has better sound software try to slow it down till you can write down the dots and dashes and there is a website that will translate it.

MaRLBORO

I checked out wikipedia on AZ state symbols and there is 17 of them.

Question 28

Next to dishes there is a bronze statue that looks like the state bird - Cactus Wren.
Chek it out - that will make 12.

Question 30

October 26, 1861: Pony Express officially ceased operations.

November 21, 1861: Last run of the Pony Express completed.

Pony Express History

November 21, 1861 is a Thursday

Dear Kathy Vance, I wonder if you could post what you have so far??!!?? I would like to see what you have to contribute
Also stingly, What group of dishes are you talking about with the bronze statue? Thanks stingly.

Haven't been able to do much on these... but it looks like only possible answers are being put down for #30, but not how they were come up with..

This is as close as Morse Code translation program CWGET could get...

ditanddaemaneteeerticecreatedtyteecocppexpcooldnew.inweatcityandonweatdayofteweekwateefinaldropmade?

I added spaces.. periods, what seemed like missing letters and possibly the wrong letters..
got this..
dit and dae mane tee ertice created ty tee cocpp exp co old new. in weat city and on weat day of te week wa tee final drop made?

dit and dah made the _____ created by the C.O.C.P.P. Exp Co. old news. In What city and on what day of the week was the final drop made?

I wasn't sure of the word ertice was suppose to be... my sister figured it our as service. C.O.C.P.P. Exp Co. = Central Overland California and Pikes Peak Express Company
Hope this helps you all.
also incase anyone hadn't seen it.. the picture in #28 has a zoom feature.

figured I should add... I didn't copy the clip from Marlboro to slow down or anything .. just kept rerunning it on the site.. the CWGET was translating it straight from Marlboro clip.
