I dont know what you did wrong. Maybe you didnt do anything wrong. Maybe you just dont like it. Arrowroot cookies? Is that because of your gluten aversion? Arrowroot is a good thickener.

I love marinated artichokes and had regular artichokes in a restaurant once and liked them. oh well...just won't try that again.

Yep...I spent the past year and a half eating the exact same things...Tinkyada pasta, grilled chicken, salad, basic fruits and veggies...thats it. Nothing else. So I'm trying to get a variety. I'm sick of the same foods.
The arrowroot cookies are amazing! http://www.amazon.com/Mi-Del-Wheat-Free-Arrowroot-Cookies-8-Ounce/dp/B000ETGBN2 So yummy, if I'm not careful I can eat an entire bag in 1 sitting.:o

The Camelopard, it is said
By travellers (who never lie),
He cannot stretch out straight in bed
Because he is so high.
The clouds surround his lofty head,
His hornlets touch the sky.
A picture of how people try
And fail to hit that head so high.)

How shall I hunt this quadruped?
I cannot tell! Not I!
I'll buy a little parachute
(A common parachute with wings),
I'll fill it full of arrowroot
And other necessary things,
And I will slay this fearful brute
With stones and sticks and guns and slings
(A picture of how people shoot
With comfort from a parachute.)

LiveSquid,

Are you aware that the eyes on your new avatar synch very well with the main title music for Ed Wood?

How can I tell where the pilot light is on my stove?

How do you solve the Collatz Problem?

The pilot light.. If you cant see it you should be able to feel it. The stove top should be a little warmer than, say the dishwasher. If none of your burners are coming on I would suspect that its not lit.

The Collatz problem, or Collatz conjecture (aka the 3n+1) is a crazy piece of math that is, at current, unsolvable. All I know about it is that it asks if a specific kind of number sequence will always end the same way regardless of which number you start with. I think this is a correct example:

7, 22, 11, 34, 17, 52, 26, 13, 40, 20, 10, 5, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1

Thats ALL I know about this. Please dont ask me about fibonacci.

My burners are on, I just never thought about how to re-light it if something happened.

I know about fibonacci! I did an entire lab on fibonacci...

basically: F(n)=F(n-1)+F(n-2)

and the graph forms a type of spiral called the golden spiral.

Thats is impossible. if F(n)=16, how can 16=anything other than 16?

The golden spiral I know well. It is very recurrent in nature

if F(n)=16 then the equation is solved.

however if n=16 then you substitute 16 into the right side of the equation and solve for F(n).

so F(n)=F(16-1)+F(16-2)=32

does that make more sense?

Nope... So it would be more like F(n)=F(x-1)+F(x-2)? My point is that if n = something, that something cant be equal to itself minus one or two.

Hey, I suck at math. Generally because its not the right kind of logic for me. It just all (not really all) seems like a bunch of paradoxes.

bah, we need monkfish here to explain this to you...I know what i'm talking about but can't explain it!

the F(n) equation I gave you is a function. you know what n is, but you don't know what the function of n is, and thats what you're trying to solve.

when you have F(variable) on the left then the equation on the right can ONLY contain the variable(s) that was in the parenthesis's.

So Monkey's lurking in the shadows but not coming out to play?

Thats why he chose the name he did. Monkfish are known for their lurking prowess.

What I meant to say was that he hates all of you and therefore isnt speaking to y'all

In the Leopard thread you mentioned piratebay and s/t else (whatever). How do those sites exist? Don't they get shut down? Am i asking for trouble to use them? Granted, if I lose an install CD or a code I have used cracks.am but i can't figure out how they stay in business either. Surely a few porn and gambling links can't pay much, can they?

I dont know how much they pay, and I cant believe that many people click them, regardless.. What I do know is that these sites are only links to the torrents. They dont host any files. They simply supply a listing of what is out there. Sites like isohunt.com, while maybe they track your IP, they dont require any sign up or login to use the site.

What is the answer to life, the universe, and everything?

Hey, man.. This isnt the "Ask Anyone Who's Around" thread, is it?
