Watcha Reading?

Uh oh - I'm only reading magazines - Popular Mechanics, Maximum PC and Linux Format these days. When I read a book I ignore way too many activities (except book reading) and of course I read the Globe and National Enquirer when waiting for checkout :proud:

Anyone ever read Jonathan Livingston Seagull written by Bach? I really like that one. Other small books I like are Childhood's End by Clarke, The Little Prince by de Saint-Exupéry and The Giving Tree by Silverstein, and one of my favorites, Hope for the Flowers by Paulus.

Long books I liked are The Darkness Between the Stars (I forget who wrote it), The Hot Zone and The Cobra Event by Preston and The Blue Nowhere by Deaver.

I havent read a book in a long time.

The Giving Tree is one of my all time favs

If you like "coming of age" stories, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith is excellent (a classic) and more recently written is, "A Painted House" by Grisham.

"A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" by Betty Smith is on my bookshelf waiting to be read

I haven't had any time (til now) to read, but I've bought so many books so I am trying to decide if I want to read The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway (again) or a new one (for me) called The 5th Horseman by James Patterson.

I have a lot of Paterson's books and haven't been disappointed by him yet. I might just read that one first. :bigok:

I picked up two more Patterson books yesterday. Thriller and The 6th Target. Looks promising.

I stand corrected. Thriller is edited by Patterson. The back cover reads like this:
"THRILLER is the first collection of pure thriller stories ever published. Offering up heart-pumping tales of suspense in all its guises are thirty-two of the most critically acclaimed and award winning names in the business. From the signature characters..."
