Face it the majority of this country believes there is a GOD and that all will be judged one day. If you can't accept that, you probably need to find another country.

Yes, many do however you are missing the bigger picture, THEY DON'T ALL BELIEVE IN YOUR GOD. Do you see how that does make a difference. No one could answer me what would happen if it was another religion in the white house making all choices for Christians based on their regilion. You all would be up in arms saying where do they get off telling me what to do!

Listen one more time the constitution is more important then the bible in politics. No one is trying to take away your god, they are trying to live with all relgions in peace.

We are asking for equal respect if you don't want to have abortions then don't, do you really need the goverment to tell you that's not for you? If you don't want to marry another man do you need a consitiutional amendment to tell you not to do that? This is not freedom.

I hear you Cedar. That really is the point. We are not all Christian. Actually millions and millions of us are not Christian. If we had a Jewish white house, all of these people would be singing a different tune.

No religion should have any effect on government, ever!!!

Did any of you hear this thing about Jeb Bush running in 2008??
I heard a rumor...

This is hilarious... a "letter" to Dubya:

Dear President Bush:

Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from you and understand why you would propose and support a constitutional amendment banning same sex marriage. As you said, "in the eyes of God marriage is based between a man and a woman." I try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination... End of debate.

I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some other elements of God's Laws and how to follow them.

1. Leviticus 25:44 states that I may possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanness - Lev.15: 19-the problem is how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

4. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord - Lev.1:9. The problem is, my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?

5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself, or should I ask the police to do it?

6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination - Lev. 11:10, it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this? Are there 'degrees' of abomination?

7. Lev.21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle-room here?

8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev. 19:27. How should they die?

9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?

10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev.19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? Lev.24:10-16. Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair, like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

I know you have studied these things extensively and thus enjoy Considerable expertise in such matters, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and unchanging.

Stay in touch!
Sincerely ,

J.Q. Public

No Christian could live word for word from the bible, yet they have no problem picking and choosing for everyone else :hmm:

Remember now he is watching, start selling your daughters and no football this Thanksgiving

And you dems are the sorest losers I have ever seen.

Right On!

Democracy was applied, the majority won, George W. Bush and his spiritually influenced agenda is in place for another 4 years. You need to accept it and move on. It is the will of this nation!

Exactly! I have no problem with religion. I'm all for people being as religious or non-religious as they'd like. But don't pick and choose your favorite lines from the Bible and tell the whole country that this is God's law and so this is how it's going to be for everyone. It's just putting a false justification on your own selfish agenda.

We do accept it, no one here is questioning the results as false. We are simply talking about what the problems we are now facing the world since our country has screwed 49% of us and how it affects the rest of the world. The will of fear is more like it. Do you need some help reading along?

Not sore, disappointed. I also find it interesting you didn't touch the quotes from the bible so I am guessing then you do argee you cannot live word for word or is he just not watching you?

= Sore loser. We can read quite well.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Many of us "dems" as you say, are posting news articles, logical facts and arguments as to why we are concerned with many of the issues that our country is presently facing. We care about what is going to happen.
We think for ourselves and are not content with sitting back and watching.

And it seems that all you right-wingers can do is call us sore losers and tell us to leave the country without even considering the argument. Don't you have anything of substance to say?

Personally I am tired of writing and posting articles because you can't even open your minds just a teensy little bit to actually THINK about anything and respond accordingly.

I love all the "reps" bashing the "dems" for being sore losers. If Kerry had won, I'm sure all the republicans would just sit down and not mention it, right? We're not whining, we're not saying 'it's not fair!' nor are we saying Bush cheated, etc. We are simply saying that we are surprised and upset by our fellow Americans. For the most part, most democrats have the decency to keep insults to themselves... at least until four years from now. We'll see how things are then I guess.

Read Galatians

If you're familiar with the bible, you know that Jesus was sacrificed for us and in the process released us from the laws as stated previously. In the book of Galatians it tells us you're either "under the law" or you have faith. It is better to have faith!

Hope that adequately addresses that for you. :11:
