A Tale of Two Kellys

This is too darn cute!

It's been a whirlwind romance for the guy and gal who share the same name, and it all started with an innocent Facebook message.

"She started off 'Hey, I saw we have the same name, and I thought it was kind of cool, Just wanted to say hi I guess. LOL,'" the male Kelly said.

Kelly the female, from Coral Springs, was curious to see profiles of people with the same name when she happened across Kelly the male in Lubbock, Texas.

"I searched my own name and he's the only one who came up and actually in the picture he didn't have a shirt on and I was like oh he's cute," said the female Kelly.

Three weeks later, male kelly flew to South Florida to meet female Kelly, and they hit it off immediately.

And now in just three months, the Hildebrandts will officially be married.

"We get a couple of the same reactions, usually it's like 'whoa, that's so awesome and totally different,'" said female Kelly, 20.

Male Kelly, 24, has moved down to Florida and plans on working at the new branch for his company, Primerica Financial. Female Kelly is finishing up her studies at Palm Beach Community College.

The wedding will be at Lighthouse Point Yacht Club in October, a quick turnaround -- just eight months after the two first met -- though male Kelly has no reservations.

"I felt like there was a good possibility that before I ever came out to meet her in person, that this could be the girl I'm gonna marry," he said.

The marriage won't be without problems. In fact, one problem has already presented itself before the two have even stepped foot on the altar.

"He's even already got some mail coming in, and we have to open everything, because we don't know whose mail is whose," said female Kelly.

Thanks you two!

Where the heck is summer??

We are having a heat wave in Seattle. Today is suppose to be 85. We broke down and bought a portable air conditioner on Sunday. Our apartment we are staying in is on the 4th floor and it gets really hot.

I just ate cottage cheese

ok, opinions please. let's say you make a cake. in fact you make this cake more than once and it is a family recipe. you give the recipe to a relative. you are invited to a family gathering...and suddenly this relative announces that she is going to make this cake. does anyone else find this odd/tacky/etc. etc. ??

No...imitation is the best form of flattery....obviously she likes it and it is a favorite with the family. What better way to bring a family closer than to share it's comfort food with each other. :noidea:

Now, did you pull an "I love Raymond" and leave a vital ingredient out? :toetap05:

no. The recipe was given so then I would think they would want to make it. It is a family recipe then I would share it with other family members. I would find it to be a compliment to the original baker.

I'd be pished!! go kick her a$$!! tell her you will kill her if she ever tries to steal your thunder again!!! she can make that cake at home and shove it where the sun don't shine and that is your 'gathering recipe'...how selfish to take advantage of your generosity and sharing nature!!

:blushing:

It does sound like she is trying to steal your thunder or get attention...."look at me look at me I am making a cake!" But it must be a pretty darn good cake if she is trying to take credit for it!
What you should have done..........:caked:

it's a great cake. thanks for all of the opinions. I know imitation is supposedly flattery...yada..yada..yada. I guess where I am coming from is that if one person makes a particular cake well, side dish well, etc. etc....then likely that person is the one who should continue to make that side dish well. I don't cook a whole lot of things very well, aside from desserts, and I tend to make them from scratch. Seems like I would have been asked to make the dessert for the get-together...then, if I said "Oh, I don't have the time to make that" or something to that effect, than someone else could suggest that they make that item. I share recipes so that people can make things to share with others. I did derive some pleasure however when someone tried to make this cake one time and really screwed it up. I silently chuckled. shame on me. oh, psycho...I'll keep your suggestion in mind.

p.s. what exactly is wrong with goats...or is this just figurative speech????

Goats-inside joke. :lol::lol::lol:
Have nothing against sheep though!:)

Cute whoever asked why don't sheep shrink in the rain.:teeth:
