I have never done jury duty but one of these days I think it would be interesting. I hope you get a good case.

The first few I went to were interesting and I was actually excited to go. We were dismissed after an hour and a half. Somebody important didn't show up. :suspicious::nono:

Hey Butty... how's jury duty? (just read above... an hour and a half... not bad. I still would have preferred to get on a good case!)

Please commiserate!

I'm cooking dinner for my family and four others tonight. My oven has decided to error. UGH! I have gotten it going again 3 times and it just shuts off and errors again. I'm just hoping the residual heat will finish it off.

This is not good for my twitching eye.... :twitch:

I have jury duty in the morning. :ack: I really don't want to go.

I had it before at the federal Court Building in Downtown Detroit before

That sucked! I had moved and not changed my address yet, and had to drive 45 minutes each day. The last day I got put on a case.

:tape: I couldn't talk about it till it was over and we had to be watched and escorted at lunch time. It luckily only took 3 days. We couldn't all agree on a verdict.

:rip: GUILTY was the verdict. When it was over the judge came and talked to all of us. He told us all the prior info about the guy that he couldn't mention in court. It was so obvious then that he was guilty it was pathetic.

I NETI'd my head last night...well techinically, I AYR'd it. I was panicked when the solution didn't come back out right away.

I once got dismissed as a juror because I told the judge I believed the police officer who arrested the guy because he was guilty. He didn't do it just for fun, he knew the guy did it. lol I was 18 and nervous and just about ran out of the court room

How was it? Does it feel like when you go swimming and get water up your nose?

It felt EXACTLY like when you go swimming and get water up your nose.

ok then, I'll pass....

well, it does come out...eventually. and it doesn't have urine mixed in it like pool water.

Sunbeam~daughter and I have been doing the Neti for awhile now (results were very positive as it got her completely off one allergy med as ok'd by MD). While it is a sensation you need and will get used to, if it stinging like that try a couple of things: either adjust the temperature of the water usually to a little warmer and/or add a little more salt. The closer the solution is to body temp/salt ratio it really eliminates the "sting" sensation.

PS~It is SO freaky when the water is NOT coming out, isn't it? But the good part of that story is that it means you ARE clearing it out all the "junk" irritating your sinuses with Neti.

uh...problem now. I used it this morning and I feel worse. I couldn't get it to even go up one nostril - I am so swollen in my nose, the water just poured back out. The other nose took the water, but didn't give it back. crap...so now it feels like it's floating around in my sinuses, and a little in my ears. This stinks. :ack:

Good ol' fashioned Vicks Sinex nasal spray.
All the swollen tissues relax almost instantly, then the pool water can come out.

probably.
If that's a problem, try Afrin

I'm not a big fan of mentholated products, even though I know they work. They make me want to gag...but I think I have some cherry scented vicks rub, so I'll try that. Afrin works ok, but I can't use it more than 3 days...due to rebound congestion. I've got a nasal steroid and antihistamine I've been squiring into the nasal abyss for weeks with a little relief. Thanks for the suggestion (hey, did you see yourself yet in the caption thread. might (or might not) want to check it out)

Ew. Where do you swim?

Oh my. That sounds horrible sun! I feel for you!
I can't use Afrin or stuff like that - I get totally addicted. People laugh at me when I say that, but it is true. Several years ago, I went through 3 bottles in under two months and I could not breathe without it. My Mama found out and was not happy. Either was I when I went thru the "Withdrawal" -that totally sucked!
Are you on a prescribed nose spray? I was having the same trouble you were - got back on Nasonex and I have felt better the last three days than I have the last 3 weeks. Feel better soon :hugs:

You CAN get addicted to Afrin...well, your nasal tissues can. Pretty crazy. 3 days is the rule in general (unless you have battled past addicions with it  and know better than to try at all! ). I'm on a prescription steroid and allergy nasal spray. My poor nares. :ohwell:

:beercheer: Anyone want me join me for a :cocktail:
