It's my hubby's 35th b-day today! And it's the day I take my 5 year old to jump like a maniac in one of those blow up things at his friend's birthday party! :woot: :willy_nilly: :whoo: :juggle: :listen: Shhh...listen...I'm mumbling to myself (ur, I mean someone in China) again.

Long distance relationships --good or bad?

Bad. Always end up bad.

Not always....both parties have to work at it. Hubby and I dated 1 1/2 long distance - it motivated us to get our ducks in a row and get married. Now, if you are talking military, it may be a little different...but regardless, both parties have to keep it alive.....

This kind of thing has happened before and it's pretty wierd......

Yesterday I was driving on the BQE about 1pm and noticed a plane flying. It just felt odd and I had a weird feeling....it wasn't like a "normal thing" that you just notice a plane going by......I can't explain the feeling, nor the uneasiness that struck me.... Then about 3:30pm, a plane went down in the Hudson River.... Obviously it wasn't the same plane and no, I don't think myself clairvoyant....it's just odd and this is not the first time this kind of thing has happened.....spooky.

I know the exact thing you are talking about. Happens to me all of the time. Last year, my parents told me that their neighbor (who I have known for a long time) was in the hospital having a kidney stone removed. That night at 10 pm I had a horrible feeling come over me and I pictured this lady in the ICU. Next morning I got a phone call that at 10 pm, after the kidney stone removal she had done hours earlier (which apparently wasn't that big of a deal at the time of the procedure), she had gone into cardiac arrest from sepsis. She was air lifted to another hospital. And yesterday, I'm working on taking my Christmas tree down. I get this uneasy feeling that my son was going to get hurt. I don't know why. Two seconds later, my daughter fell off her kitchen chair which she has only done one other time about a year ago. Scared the life out of me. Preco, I think this is just one of those "senses" no one can really explain.

I have deja vu all the time! I just know I have been there before (conversations, sights, sounds, smells)......I agree with Sun, it can't be explained.....

We've all been around this big old world many times before, thus the deja vu experiences. Some things just cannot be explained, even by Science.

What I cannot explain, understand or swallow is what kind of people MOVE IN at eleven o'clock at night with a dump truck and an "Enterprise" rental van?!?!? Yeah, my numb nut neighbors from Putnam Valley NY arrived last night, six degree weather, and, made such noise and volley that I thought there were earthquake tremors going on. While it is not in my nature to make "snap judgment calls" against folks, someone plezzzzzz explain to me who unloads "trucks/vans" at close to midnight?!?!? Is it a "Yankee Thing?!?!?"

Ah.....makes perfect sense.....see, they got up early that morning, loaded the truck all day, drove 7-8 hours and there you are...unloading the truck so they could drive back the next day...:noidea:

I'm sure there was beer involved at the end point as well....:yesnod:

Wish it were that simple...they are STILL over there, and, that truck comes and goes a couple of times a day. We seem to think that they may be moving one of the daughters over from the Annapolis area. If for nothing more than to watch the house in their absence. Same ritual last night...hit the bed, BOOM eleven o'clock here they come again unloading the stupid van. One neighbor's security lights went on and I imagine he was training his field glasses on the house! LOL LOL LOL I thought to myself "I have seen weird a-s people before, but they are surely taking the cake!" :mmph: My bedroom runs about one hundred and fifty foot from their driveway, and here is my very senior Mother, with her hearing aids OUT, and, another twenty or so foot away, and, they knocked her out of bed both last night and this morning!! :mmph: Now THAT is loud. As such I can only assume that while beer may not be involved, stupidity and ignorance showed up in heaping helping doses!:yesnod:

What a disgraceful display of total lack of respect for what will be all their new neighbors~what is wrong with people nowadays??

As unacceptable as I find all of this, I am also wildly curious what the dump truck would be necessary for......? As long as I couldn't sleep anyway, I'd be pulling my modern-day "Mrs.Kravitz" on them: some sport black under the eyes, my camoflauge footie pajamas and Nerf binoculars as I go serpentine over to the property borders for a little late-night surveillance:behindsofa:

By the way, have you installed that moat yet that we had previously discussed??:secruity:

My son only got injured one time in the bouncy house....kicked right in the eye. I guess I will count myself lucky and move on. Sorry Rags that you have some dum-dums to deal with. A dump truck for moving? How nice.

Ohhhhhhh...around these parts, folks feel no need to hide or camoflauge, unless it is goose or deer season. We come right out, and give the situation and people a looking over. While I certainly understand time constraints and the difficulty with economy and money, WTF is with a dump truck at midnight?!?! :mmph: No sign of any reconstruction material about the place. Trust me, when they go back up to the North, I will go and "patrol" the other side of the fence to make sure they didn't poke holes in it. My poor Mom is so upset that she has been taking a "Savannah Swoon" all day. It is precisely that reason I am disgruntled. These are the kind of people, like the ones that live next store to Preco, that you cannot speak to or reason with. It has been my experience that my other neighbors will be coming out of their houses and standing on property lines, just a looking, shot guns in hand!! :teeth: We will only tolerate such nonsense for so long. The moat never was dug, the fence went up instead. Trust me, if they rode across my lawn in the summer, they would have had no conscious about riding over it again with those dump trucks!!!! We love the peace and quiet of the Island, and, I certainly worked hard all of my life for the same priviledge. Let's hope and pray that once they finally move in, their ignorance will be put to bed. I just don't understand lack of courtesy or decency with neighbors? Can't make a move now, I would loose way to much money on my home. Will go into the "wait and see" pattern. I have two "rebel flags" poised for the hoist on the shed that are six foot in length!!! :teeth::teeth::clap::clap: Sometimes, actions speak louder than words!:)

Oh your poor son!!!! Any busted blood vessels? Did you put on some ice?!?! The only thing that I could think about the dump truck was "Oh my gawd, here come the Beverly Hillbillies!!!!!" Sure has me perplexed. If it gets to out of hand, I will phone up the Community Association. Not that they will do much, shoot, we had a run on our mailboxes and the only thing the Association folks did was laugh and quip "Well we reckon they didn't get us this time!" To which I answered "Oh really you SOB, we are all sitting here armed, and, can hit your fricking cars from fifty paces now what do you think is funny?!?!?!" Stupid numb nuts, so we all fixed our own mailbox and went on with it. Funny thing though....every member on that Board all of a sudden found THEIR mailboxes in the fields and drainage ditches.....hmmmmmmmmmm :shhh::thinking::tongue:

There is a coyote howling across the road...really loudly. I was raking leaves, but I am going to take a break inside for a moment or two.

That wasn't a coyote you heard, it was the TRACFONE people coming to visit you!!!! :teeth::teeth::teeth:

What's up with the "Social Group" section???? It's filled with ? marks and looks really strange. I clicked on it again to confirm. Very Odd.

 I heard some rumblings about a 'movie review' section.......here we go again... Everytime a change is made seems someone gets tossed out of the boat.....

:yesnod:

You can still click on the question marks for your group, then, you have to kinda go round robin's barn to get to the last posting. They are all still afloat!!

Big flakes are falling at my house - snow, people...I mean snow. I didn't trip and fall.
