If your 16yo saw a pic of Clubby....trust me, he'd be running next to her everyday, with or without the Elvi! :eyebrows:

Thank God she is all the way in California. Otherwise, I know a high school cross country team that would hire her over the summer as their "personal trainer":druel:

cross country is tough! I remember it in high school, I would go to bed crying some nights my legs hurt so bad, and my ankles stayed swollen, I guess when ya run a mile in 6 minutes, there's a price to pay! Although I never did it as elvis, maybe I would have fonder memories if I had!

i never ran cc in hs. i didn't actually start running until just a few years ago. i started my running career about the time i started here on spoofee. and a 6 minute mile? wow! my fastest is a 6:54. and that was pushing it hard, and only for one mile. i average 7:30s for my 5 mile runs now.

I think my fastest was 6:12 but I was like 90 pounds and all legs! LOL! Things have really changed since high school! LOL!

Six minute mile? :claps: My son would kill for a six minute mile. He has a 5k tomorrow morning and can't wait. He is hoping to run the race in under 20 minutes.

But he does know about the hurting legs. Yesterday the track meet the coach made him run the mile, the 400, and the 800 with only 10 minutes in between each. But at least he had a choice between the mile and the two mile.

Shoot! I don't think I'm going to make it until after the 6th..my son's in a wedding. Unless I go that week before and then come back for the wedding and then head back out again....I need to spend a few weeks out there packing up a house but I'm having a hard time scheduling it until schools out! If it were in the middle of the school year I wouldn't feel as bad, but I don't want my son to miss the last part of Kindergarden and Graduation..:worry:

i hear that. our last day of school is june 3, and i'm going to be lucky if i'm well enough to go in on june 2. i'll for sure be there on the 3rd though.

this morning, we ran 11 miles and then i had to teach my 1 hour spinning class about 30 minutes later. omg, that just hurt! i came home and passed out (after eating a sonic burger and some tater tots :p)
 
Clubby I can't decide if that's inspirational or just plain crazy! I used to be in such better shape...then the boys came along!
 
Why couldn't I just stop after one bowl!
 
Yuck... I used that freebie Maybelline make-up from Walmart... now I have a big zit on my chin!!!!
