Nice place! Huge beach where Josh is flying his kite.. I mean, where Josh is obstructing the rich people's view ;) (last nights Colbert report)

Haystack rock looks awesome and you got a great shot of the two starfish (or was it three?). I cant wait to see what else you post.

Btw, you didnt trust some stranger with your camera did you? For the family shot? Glad you had fun and your pics are great!

Thanks! Haystack Rock is really cool. When the tide was out we used to climb around it but they had a lot of it blocked off this time. Probably too many tourist tromping on the sealife.
Yes I did ask a stranger to take our pic. I am not terrible fond of that camera. ;)

Crap!! You just reminded me that I was supposed to record something for my mom. Dirty Jobs were doing something w/ the Mackinac bridge. Oops!

They're airing it again Saturday at 1 pm (eastern time, of course)

I know.

But you wouldve lost all the photos along with the camera. You dont think they wouldve given you back the memory card before they ran away do you?

True. I did think of National Lampoon's Family Vacation when my husband ask him to take our pic. Beside the guy that took the pic was carrying a lot of camera equipment himself. He couldn't have ran very fast. ;)

Could be something with the internal computer. Have they hooked it up to do the diagnostic code? Or electrical, those buggers are hard to find.

If there were anything with the fuel line, you might have had some bucking first before it totally died.

What's the year/make anyway?

Its a 2003 Ford Escape with....many more miles than it should have but under 100K. (its well loved!)
The dealer is checking everything out to see if its fixable, but they haven't diagnosed it yet. And they give me a rental free of charge in the meantime.

Dan, the lemon law is a good idea but this is the first problem I've ever had with the car so I'm not sure that would apply.

I uploaded some of my pics. in member's photos.:) For some reason it would only let me upload four pics. but that's more than I could upload before. I'll try to add more later. :hmmmm2:

great pics:bigok:

Was it cold there?

Sounds like they're trying to take care of you,

Thanks! It was the mid 60's in Seaside where we stayed. It wasn't really cold just windy on the beach. The weather in Cannon Beach is unpredictable, warm one minute and overcast and windy the next. We wore shorts and carried jackets. :)

Aw man!!
I got some cream of broccoli soup to go (don't want to say from where until I start getting paid to endorse.. )yesterday. I thought today I would add some green onion to doctor it up, but I put in too much and it is overwhelming the soup.

OMG the way you were talking about your car I was thinking that it sounded a lot like mine... I also drive an Escape. I love mine, but it seems tempermental. Last December the engine was shaking...real bad and the next day it stopped. Hasn't shook since.

Side note:
Me and the girls went swimming w/ my friend today. When we were done I was in the bathroom changing and my friend totally walked in on me. Now....I am very modest so that was a tad embarassing. I have since gotten over it though.

I've gotta tell this. My neice is visiting for 2 weeks from the other coast so we've been doing all the tourist things. Yesterday I drove 2 hours to go to the Cleveland Zoo. I've never been before and heard it was a great zoo. It rained the whole way there but the weather channel said the rain would stop in the afternoon (which it did eventually but anyway). We got there and we were so excited! The parking lot was empty and we thought "whoohoo! People must have stayed away because of the rain. We'll have the whole place to ourselves. It'll be so cool!":teeth: Then we got to the maingate...
WALLYWORLD!!!!!

Yes that's right. Three police cars and a sign, "Zoo and Rainforest closed today". Apparently it flooded. :mmph: :argh:

:rant:2 freeeeking hours of sponge-bob dvd w/ a 5 year old, 2 year old and 12 year old to see the *!2#! :censored:zoo and it's closed!:verysad:

We ended up going to the science center which the kids liked anyway but my poor 2 year old kept asking. "Ma Ma. We go to zoo?" What a day.

Thanks for listening :hippie:

At least you made the best of it. It was muggy out after the rain yesterday.

Okay, I'm confused:confused: If you're in the midwest, which coast is the "other" coast?

Aside from that, I love the irony -- rain forest exhibit closed due to rain.

I'm going to buy a new camera, and Im shopping online. Theres a store that has the camera for $329. instead of around $700. NexTag and bizrate both show them as being a great company, thousands of terrific reviews. However resellerratings.com has nothing but terrible reviews.

So who do I trust? I have the potential to save $370 and that aint nothing to sneeze at- thats almost the price of a lens. Im tempted but cautious. Besides, if they screw me I just dipute the charges, right?

Right
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
