looks like it is going to storm here. I was out changing the marquee and it was lightening! eek!

As long as it is done by tomorrow....hubby said "let's go to the beach!"
YAY :dancing:

tomorrow is jeans day for me! sounds like we're all going to have good days :woot:

you dress up for summer school? Very classy Clubby!
I know teachers who go in shorts & t-shirt like it's vaca.

:yo: hats off to you!

we're not allowed to, km... not even those nice shorts that look like shrunken slacks! skirts, pants, or capris... "professional dress" they say... even though it's 100+ degrees here!

next thursday is shorts day! i can't believe it! although they are harping us about using discretion... i told Stan (coworker) that he better not show up in his wife's daisy dukes

In the public schools here, the 'dress code' is so lax it's sometimes embarassing. I see teachers in flip-flops, beach attire, skimpy t-shirts....they need to set a better example and more professionalism. You won't see that in catholic schools....

buy him some Nair just in case.

I agree with you Preco. It is truly embarassing the way some teachers dress!

i can't imagine... we're not allowed to wear tank tops w/ less than 2" straps (not a tank top, really, it's more of a sleeveless top), no shorts (anything above the knee), no tennis shoes (except for "fun friday", or thursday in the case of summer school), no blue jeans (colored denim is okay, though), and flip-flops are okay if they have a heel... nothing that looks like "beach attire"..

that's probably part of the reason this district is rated so highly... if you want to work here, you have to be willing to dress like you want it!

i wonder why dress codes are so lax elsewhere?

I spent some time at Urgent Care last night. Amber has a bad outer ear infection and now she can't go swimming for a week. :(

Oh! Those arent fun at all! to Amber

Thanks!! Poor thing is just laying on the couch. She's only been sick a handful of times so it's really hard to see her in pain.

The phone just rang and it was a New York number calling. I thought it might be Preco so I answered.....;)

Now I have some difficulty hearing, especially on the phone and unfortunately when the caller has a thick foreign accent.

I thought she asked to speak to Kadin (hubby's name is Kevin, so it's close). I asked again who she was calling for and she said Kadin. I said "Kadin? K-A-D-I-N?" She said "I need to speak to the person in charge of advertising" I said "Oh you want to talk to Kadin?" She said "Yes"
I said "Nice try, but Kadin is my 3 year old son. Good day."
:stupid:

My house is haunted.

I always keep extra batteries in my camera case and they're now missing! Where could they be? :hmmmm2:

do you have children?

Nope, no kids. My nephews (one is 2 the other is 7 months) come over sometimes, but my camera is in my room and they're not allowed there except when they're sleeping and then they're in the pack and play.

Its either ghosts or battery goblins. But this isn't the first random item thats gone missing. Around Halloween my favorite skeleton socks ALWAYS go missing for 2 weeks no matter where I'm living. Its a mystery!

I havent slept a wink.
I'm so-o-o-o tired,
My mind is on the blink.
I wonder should I get up
And fix myself a drink,
Oh no no.....

Man, I love the beatles.
