(cuz w/o that other kid -the "catalyst" i call him- anthony is much better behaved)

Actually I was up all night - I cant tell whether it is food poisoning or stomach virus. Anybody know the diff? I have never had food poisoning before. We went to a Japanese steakhouse last night and I was sick within a couple of hours after eating. However, there is a stomach virus going around........not that it matters - sick is sick.

Yes there is a difference between food poisoning and a stomach virus. With food poisoning, symptoms hit between two and six hours post ingestion of the tainted food....usually chicken, seafood, then pork. Temps go up over 100.2, and, if bloodwork is drawn, the "differential" shifts to the left indicating a bacterial infection. With a virus, temps stay under a 100 degrees, and lab work is not shifted profoundly. Since food poisoning tends to be "bacterial" in nature KMA, it will respond to antibiotics. Virus infections of course do not respond to antibiotics. Push your fluids, limit the caffeines, more carbs than proteins, and if you continue to feel rotten come tomorrow, hit the ER or clinic. If you get the "pooh pooh's" try Immodium that usually works quickly. With food poisonings, vomiting occurs quickly and so does dehyration, so keep the fluids going in. Feel better soon! :hug:
