Well, let's see... initially I paid 64.19 (with tax) and was refunded (30.05 + 2.10tax = 32.15). The difference between 59.99 (CC) and 29.94 (Staples) is exactly 30.05. SO she gave me 100% of the difference, not 110%. Damn. Would I look like a b&@*% if I went back for my 10%? Heheh.

Don't forget the tax on the 10%. :)

For the PM, Yes. (Or they credit your credit card the difference.)

i didn't realize it was only on rebate per household...
good thing we keep a PO box

Might want to read the fine print, most of the rebates won't work to a POBox. I found that out the hard way.

Sounds like some people are getting gyped on the "gladly" part too, not just the 110% refund.
I wonder if you can go back and ask for a smile with your 10%?

Nailed one just now. Much easier when Staples and Circuit City are in the same building and next door to each other. Just walked into Staples, grabbed the color flyer, went back and got my $$$

Thanks for finding this!

Think that's sneaky? How's this . . .

I hate these sneaky spoofee deals where you have to basically lower yourself to the ethics of a slug and then get a "deal." Here's a variant, in which you can get the item for a lot less . . . GET A a GREAT DEAL on the Memorex 512MB TravelDrive USB 2.0 Flash Drive.

1. Click here and choose to pickup in-stores. ( Price : $59.99 )
2. Print the Staples page which has this same item for $29.99.
3. Go to pickup the USB drive at your Circuit City with the print out.
4. Pick up the USB drive. Let the receipt and rebate print out.
5. Go back to your car and drop off the rebate and pick up the Staples printout.
6. Go back into Circuit City customer service, reach into their cash register when the man turns his back and grab out a $100 bill from the tray.
7. Rebate1 Price : -$20.00
8. Rebate2 Price : -$15.00
Final Price : Free + Make $108

LMAO ONLY PROBLEM IS YOU HAVE TO LIFT THE DRAWER TO GET THE C NOTE. I FOUND IT MUCH EASIER TO TAKE 5 TWENTYS FROM THE TILL.

Did not work for me. The CC's CS rep printed out the rebate forms again and told me "after the rebates, our deal is still better". I said "I don't think so, I guess I'll have to return it"...... sigh

If this happens to you. Buy two of them online on two separate orders for pickup. Get to the store right away before 24 minutes are up. Possible score for $24 gift card if they aren't able to give you your stuff within the timeframe. Then print out copy of Staples ad and your confirmation receipt from cc.com (not your email confirmation because it shows the rebates), and also call staples to verify instock availability. Then go to online order pick-up at the store and give your receipt and ask them to pricematch the ad.

If they say, ours is cheaper after rebates, explain to them by whipping out your other order. Since you're only eligible for rebate on one of the items because it's limited to one person per household, you can't get the other rebates. Soon you'll see them having a deer in a headlight moment. Get the 110% PM on one item, pickup your other order as well. Then go back a few days later at a different time (maybe even a different store if you've done this multiple times like myself..hee hee), and return the item you didn't PM. Voila, easy as apple pie (damn those cliches).

I always get that. Some how they think getting your rebate money in 8-10 weeks if you get it all is better than immediately. Go figure. I hate that store and won't shop there unless I can PM with no problem i.e. no rebate. They should make a vacuum cleaner they suck so bad. You know it would be good!

Actually, per the rebate forms... you can send in a copy of your confirmation email from CC. They definitely aren't smart enough to hack your email to change it if they wanted.

So, with forms and email in hand already, you probably don't need to even leave/return to the store. If you're picking it up, you probably could just fight them there and save waiting in line...

I have done that before. After 2 weeks when I went to pickup something else I got the 10% back without even the receipt. I would advice you to wait till next week. Then there wont be any after rebate price showing up in their system.
