Newb - Hello

I used October 21st as my date. See http:///www.moabhappenings.com/Sky.htm I had posted before that if you subtract the sunset time from sunrise time you'd come up with a whole number (00:01:00:75 - 00:00:18:75 = 00:00:82:00) The article states peak activity of the meteor shower is the night of Oct 21/22. If you look at the table, you'll notice the dates that the difference in time between sunrise and sunset that is closest to a whole number would either be the 20th or the 21st.

What do you mean where is 20. It's the video.. you have to say what day it was shot..

So far as Proofs & clues...
too much movement in night sky to be stars.. most probably meteor shower
left side of split screen faces west [sunset] and meteors are moving away..
right side faces east [sunrise visable] and meteors are moving toward..
other boards doing time calculations, but I think clock is military time.. need to watch it again & find site that lists sunrise & sunset times on anygiven day for that area..
listings of meteors etc... most have which day is peak. this will narrow dates. Astronomy Calendar of Celestial Events 2010 - Sea and Sky

The Eta Aquarid meteor shower peaks at 1:00 am, MDT, on Thursday, May 6th, 2010.

If this will help, under Official Rules of the Contest:
...."All official answers have been researched and verified as truly and correctly reflecting the facts and circumstances as of 8/16/10.".... And this contest started on 10/5/10 (i think) so the answer to #20 has to be before 8/16/10.

Patricia46 ... that's been done on another forum.. there is no date on the clapboards.. they even went to the extent of checking the filmers website & facebook page.. Marlboro covers the angles.. no dates are listed for the filming.

Thanks Obie.. I had read that at the begining and forgot about it.. I agree that it will help determine any dates...

also on # 20 ... [I'm still going w/ may 6th] if the filming was done Oct. 21st that would mean they finished filming the 22nd Fri..and it had to be edited, finished, delivered to marlboro & checked to make sure it was what they wanted.. set up for the contest and entered into the site by 12:01am Sun. morning the 24th.. : (

One thing to remember...question 20 has only the 2-point value for ANY answer you put, no other points are awarded for it...
 
Sushi, from their official rules:

The answer to the first four (4) of each clue round's five (5) clues will be scored to earn Gear Points

...meaning, the last clue for each round only gets the 2 bonus pts, NOT any other points, so if we get it wrong, really doesn't matter, hope that made sense?

I was asking the location of where the video was shot. Now I see that we were to search for Meteor showers.

Hi. I know this is a tad off topic but did anyone else get an email invite to the Marlboro Ranch Winter 2011 trip??
Hubby got one emailed to him last night and he called and confirmed today just waiting for the paperwork. I went to the Ranch back in August of 2005, I am excited to go in the Winter this time.
