(Expired) Free KFC 2 Piece Meal Until 05/19/09

The people there are currently holding a sit-in and refusing to leave until they get their free chicken...or the cops are called. Racial epithets were being spewed, people who actually wanted to pay for chicken were facing a potential beatdown, and the manager ran from the screaming horde.


Sounds like a awful lot of trouble just for a free meal. I am all about the freebies but I think I will just pay the 5 bucks and go to Chick fila

The KFC in Queens Center Mall in New York refused to honor my coupon (and somebody else's who warned me of the coupon not being honored). The reason? Because I printed the coupon out on a monochrome printer. Each coupon has it's own distinct barcode number. Would their scanning computer be able to know if a specific barcode number was already used?

The asian cashier guy said he was told by the manager not to accept BW coupon, the lady cashier accept it, as long as it is not 1234 version I think.
 
This promo has been on the local news from NYC last night and at noon today. They actually ran out of chicken at one Manhattan location. My husband got one dinner from each of two locations last night. He was unable to get two dinners at one without me being present. He said they wouldn't give any white meat at all, and that's usually all I eat. And the potatoes were instant! Yuk! Free is nice, but I would never buy this food.
 
I plan on waiting until the end of next week to use mine... maybe things will be back closer to normal.

I am right with you on that one that is what I am going to do. That KFC Chicken is not calling my name that bad
 
The KFC in Queens Center Mall today have the coupon sample posted on the table, and written "original coupon only". This sample is the 1234 version, whole page.
So now I think the color coupon, whole page BW 1234 or unique code can do.

Our location is no longer accepting coupons, they gave us a form to fill out, they will mail you a coupon for the 2 pc meal in the mail, plus a free Pepsi.

Same here, just got back and they aren't accepting coupons anymore either. Have to fill out the form. :argh:

there were over 100 people in line at the KFC in Penn station NYC:eek: blocking the corridor so people couldn't get on the long island railroad and the subway.:eek: then they ran out of chicken.:eek: heard the KFC on 34th st between 5th and 6th was not as bad but that they couldn't keep up. and ran out.

i gave a lot of my staff members copies of the coupon because they eat KFC.
they said it was pretty good.

Do the managers in the branches have the right to not to accept certain/any coupon??
If that, what's the print out coupon promotion good for???:unsure:
I mean, the KFC said the coupons are legit (as long as they are not photocopies), but some branches don't accept them no matter what kind of coupon they are. Doesn't make a lot of sense, does it?
 
They just think they can do anything they want just because they say so, I think its time to call corporate and give them a piece of our mind!
 
I used the coupon today in Kingsport TN while eating dinner and gave one to my friend who used his directly behind me in line. I Checked the door when entering the establishment to make sure there weren't any "no coupon" signs and we were good to go. I did observe an older gentleman walking to the door with coupon in hand while I was eating, he quickly returned to his vehicle still holding the coupon. As we exited I was curious and again checked the door and found management apparently had placed a large sign on each door that said no more coupons accepted today. I must note when I used the coupon the guy at register acted like he had never seen a coupon before and didn't even know how to key it in. I find it very odd of them to instantly post signs saying the coupons were all used up for today ? The chicken was tasty but for the price without a coupon I would have been disappointed because I was rather hungry afterward. I will admit I'm more of a dollar menu kinda person anyways.

It looks like the KFC does have the promotion, but some managers in individual franchises don't like it (too many work with no money probably), so they refuse to accept the coupon, whatever kind it is.
I still wonder if they actually have the right to refuse coupon.
Well, the promotion did said that the coupon can be redeemed at participating stores (same as other promotes), so may be this implies managers can refuse the coupon if they want to.
 
Well people, my husband and I used one coupon each Wednesday, long wait, but no problems using it. Today on the other hand, they are not taking them at all. Instead, having us sign and address a form to have a coupon for the same offer PLUS a free drink. They say they were overwhelmed. They say, ALL KFCs are doing this.

So, if those of you that have not used yours yet, this is a heads up.
 
I wanted to use coupon and take one today, but forget to take the coupon with me :nonod:
Man, then may be tomorrow they won't accept any coupon anymore.
 
KFC is not taking these coupons right now. But if you take it in, they will give you a rain check to mail into KFC headquarters. They will mail you a new coupon with a drink as a replacement for these coupons to use at later date.
 
KFC should be just giving put a piece of chicken instead of an entire dish of meal, and should shorten the promotion duration. The promotion is up until the 19th, now is just 3 days after and they already can't take it anymore...
