I hardly ever remembered to enter this.. so I doubt I'm one of the ones missing anything..
but I'd say a letter or email to their state atterney generals office would get results.
Required for a contest to provide access to the winners list. I don't believe there are exceptions to that.
I finally got someone at Allure who told me that it was probably an error and that I actually did not win anything, that's why the box was empty. It clearly had a sticker that said Allure Sweepstakes Winner, but they said that when you win you get an email. I told her I never got an email in the past. Anyway, I faxed over the UPS stickers and the allure sticker and we shall see. It looks like I am getting an empty box.
I have received lots of things from allure in the past and i think I did receive an email or 2, but not not everytime I received something....I think they are trying to cover for their mistake. It makes no sense. Surely they wouldn't send an empty box to everyone who didn't win? Sounds odd to me....
I told the young lady that was not the case, and she told me we do alot of these contests, I told her that I knew that because I enter all of them, but how would they send out an empty box. I think they are trying to cover a mistake, but who knows.
Nico, tell them you'll be contacting the better business bureau if they get this straightened out, also mention that you belong to "multiple online communities" (you dont have to mention names) and you'll let everyone know what crappy business allure magazine is.
I remember about 2 years ago i got an empty package too and I was so mad, i called them thinking that they will send me out another one but they just said everything is gone. So i dont think allure is gonna be responsible but it doesnt hurt to try.
