Many people have written into sites like spoofee asking for these lists to be taken down. I have contacted dealtaker and slickdeal and they have removed the August 2008 list from their site. I also contacted spoofee- three times- via the "contact us" tab but they have not responded. I guess I was hoping the person who posted it or a moderator on the Board would be kind enough to take it down.

I do know that if its not taken down, my attorney will be writing to spoofee (and Allure) as I believe posting this list seriously violates my privacy on the web. This is an expensive route and I hope it doesn't come to that. So again, PLEASE just remove the August 2008 list.

Not sure what your problem is. We posted a public list that has the names of a contest. Do you own the rights to that public list? Maybe you need to contact Allure and tell them that they need to not include your name on their lists. I cannot for the life of me understand what is wrong with this being posted here. I have never seem someone so upset about winning a prize and then having their name posted as a winner. As Spaz stated before this list is not going to be taken down, I am sure even if it was you still wouldn't be happy.

Thanks. Since the posts were being moderated I didnt know whether I was getting through. some glitch with my computer not showing my own posts I guess. And spoofee the website has ignored my emails for the last few weeks.

Anyway. The first initial of my last name is "R". Thanks again.

They overreacted, severely. Seeing as Allure releases this list to the general public and not forgetting that everyone who enters the giveaways in the first place agrees to various privacy releases, unless Allure states somewhere on the list that it is not to be reproduced/displayed/distributed anywhere else... they really have no legal recourse against any individual or site that posts the list.

Unless this person is in the witness protection program and entered the giveaways in their real name... they are just coming off as an overly paranoid busybody.
 
If any one knows Eva-Marie or where she is frequenting lately.. can you ask her to check her messages ...

WOW! What has been going on here? Most everyone I know is dying to see a winners list for any giveaway. If it's over and done with, what difference does it make now? I just hope we get the August, 2009, etc. lists and are able to post them at some point. That's all we need is someone complaining to Allure that they shouldn't give out a winners list.

You really need to contact your state Attorney General. To run a contest and not deliver the prizes is FRAUD! Even though Allure is located in NY, it was a national contest and comes under the jurisdiction of each state.

NEXT TIME DO NOT ENTER YOUR REAL NAME OR LAST NAME if you dont want your name to be posted up on a winners list. use an alias name that you can remember.
 
they probably did it while at work and are trying to not have themselves busted for it. I've mod-alerted the post MYSELF as it is so old, that I can't even edit it.

Eva_Marie, Thanks for trying on this..
Don't know how far she would really go but don't see any point in getting Spoofie in trouble..

Anyway files will be listed under settings/attachments on your page.. from there you can delete it .. or since its your file you can probably edit it.. what ever.. Checked with Spaz .. deleting the one file won't effect the rest of the posts..

Sorry for the hassel Eva .. thought it was one of my files [ stupid of me not to ck 1st] & was just going to edit it.. couldn't find it in the list of mine.. then checked the post and found out why..

WEll, I deleted those posts. Now she'll just have to wait for Google to recrawl the site and remove it's info. I wonder who she's hiding from? Doesn't want her boss or SO to know she's doing these religiously at noon? Maybe she's having to deny the profits she's made by selling the stuff?
 
does anyone have the ERNO LASZLO mud soap they can trade with me?? i have eczema (allergies) and this soap works great on my sensitive skin.
 
FYI , I'm paranoid because I'm job hunting. All employers routinely run potential employee names on google and the last thing I want them to think is that I'm a freebie hunter. I entered a contest once and incidentally I won. That's all there is to it. And I appreciate your taking the list down. Thanks.
 
Shoot, google my name and you get back pictures of a little robot or Eva Longoria. It normally takes google a week to recrawl and change its search results.
