I am looking at the Allure Magazine and here's the sizing info they provided:

thanks kim for the info....this is ridiculous...what they think we are...a toothpick...:convinced::mad: i can try to fit in some but have to trade up with some of you gals except the "BCBGIRLS boots: Size 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5 (two pairs), 8 (2 pairs), 8.5 (2 pairs), 9, 9.5 (2 pairs), 10" now that can fit :teeth:

I just ran by the vet's office and picked up a specimen jar full of tapeworms. Anyone want to share?

This is a very nice giveaway if you are super skinny in which i am not.But is that all Allure is giving away?I thought handbags, makeup and jewelry too.
:convinced:I am confused by Allure contests.:sus:

Yes - there's a bunch more that aren't size-related! I can squeeze into any size purse, cashmere scarf, or lux cosmetic!!! We're just snarking on about the crazy array of sizes we're all killing eachother to win~my time is gonna be invested in the other stuff!

got a question. i noticed thats in some like the shoes and dresses it says "log on" and when the cosmetics and hair products it says "sign up/on" does make any difference or do i have to log onto allure with my info first to enter. Allure is so confusing.

some of these have 10 items

I thought the Elle/Sephora thing was tough. A few of these have REALLY small quantities.
spent my lunch hour putting these into lotus notes so I will I won't forget.
it will probably drive me crazy:banghead::marshmallow: since lotus notes will send an alert for all of them. and if I am in a meeting they will all que up
and alert me over and over until i kill them. :banghead::marshmallow:

I am loving the kooba handbag ---my stepson and his family are coming for a visit that day so I will have to rush back from the airport to enter. ( I am definitely addicted to this stuff) would loooove to carry a $645 bag:wof::wof:

yea, what's the difference? anyone know?

I'm running to the store go get some guaze to wrap my feet in. If I win those Burberry pumps, I'll have atleast 6 months before I get them, and I just need to get from a size 10 to a size 7. Or maybe I could just save my money and have part of my toes removed, like some ladies do. yeow!

     ... Yeah, I'm going for the boots 1st and possibly the sandals. If I don't get my size (assuming I actually even get in!) I can pass it onto friends or family. My sis-in-law is tiny just about everywhere.

   OMG girl, you're killing me!!!

Between :typing: & :argh: (entering & talking to spoofee friends) when will we have time for anything else?? LOL

:luck: I hope we all win great stuff :luck:

I remember back...way back when when i was first introduced to Allure giveaways and have been thinking back to how their contests used to be.I remember when they opened up at for instance 12:00 noon, and by the time 12:00 rolled around, every thing was gone.Does anyone think that when Allure specifically means 12:00 noon or whatever they won't let others enter early for this huge giveaway?Have i confused anyone yet?:convinced:

Vem and everyone else...i wish everyone luck with this giveaway.:)

They really are some small size clothes. I can handle the size 7 shoe. I am going to try some of these, but will probably be working during most of them..I guess I could take a leave of absence LOL, but I don't think the bill people would understand..Ever since I joined Spoofee, I have become addicted to the computer, ain't that beautiful.

i remember

but i think they no longer do that because of the number of complaints. these products are donated by Allure's current or potential advertisers. people have complained to the the allure advertisers who supplied the products. Without the advertisers, there is no revenue and no magazine. fulfillment is still a mess but i think they worked this part out
just my humble opinion; i work in advertising and deal with magazines

Tutz, i respect your valued opinion which really helped me out.I thank you very much. You really have answered my confusing question.

I was curious how the 7 Jeans matched up to 'normal' sizes and here's what I found:

The 7 For All Mankind Jeans are sized from 24 to 32. 24 equals 00 (I guess that's smaller than a zero - YIKES) and goes up to 32 which equals a size 12. No plus sizes wanted by this company. They are definitely geared to a junior body. There are many older women who wear junior sizes so they aren't just for the "kids." Seven jeans size 30 equals a size 8.

ACK! I hope not!

I hope you're right!! :worry: That would SUCK. :ohwell:

So what is the consensus on when to hit enter - 11:59:59 - or 12:00:00 - when I tried a couple of times to do it at 12:00 - it wasn't active until 12:01.... these contests make me CRAZY!!!! :banghead:

Too bad we can't have a trial run before the first BIG freebie (THE SHOES!!!). Sigh.

Now let me ask a question- When you click to get to the "free stuff" page... will there be some sort of link tomorrow??? what is the URL that will bring you right to where youneed to be to enter?

Go to www.allure.com/freestuff. I have a little icon in my toolbar (favorites) that I just click on and it brings me right to that page. There should be something to click on which will bring up the form to fill out. I suspect that for each day they will use the "slide show" picture w/links. Try going a few minutes early to check it out.

I can't really prove this because I don't keep records

but.... I do know I have never gotten anything when I entered earlier than 12 noon. I have gotten things - not always- more consistently when I enter at 12 noon. I started to enter only after my PC said 12 noon and do get the freebies more frequently. i just keep
entering until it goes through.
