Have you seen the book 101 Uses for a Dead Cat? Thats one of the uses!
The BEST BOOK EVER!!! I own it and every time I see it, it just makes me laugh. :bigok:

Okay Squid....the other night I had my first Blooming Onion from Outback.....(I've gone there for years)...

I think the sauce/dip they serve with that is outrageous! What is in it? It's a sour cream base....but what are the spices???? (You must have tried it and have one near you....;) )

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons cream-style horseradish
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Dash ground black pepper
  • Dash cayenne pepper

Thanks Choo & Squid...

I must say...I had the Rib eye (not the premium rib eye) and I was impressed....Hubby had the NY strip, I liked the rib eye better! ;)

IMO, the best thing on Outback's menu are the pork chops, cooked Medium!

And no, pork will not kill you if you don't burn it.

i would recommend pork to be cooked well done to avoid cysticercosis, although it is rare to have pork products originating in the US that contain T. Solium.

Agreed.. The problem is that its difficult to keep meat moist when its well done. Especially for people at home who normally dont let it rest and who poke it with forks and knives during the cooking process, allowing all the love to escape.

I personally go to medium well for pork and well for chicken. Medium for beef and lamb. I also suggest getting meat at a restaurant cooked one level below what you really want. If it sits on the fire for too long youre still ok, and if it comes out too red, you can have it refired.

Here's a question for ya...well for anyone really. I didn't want to start another thread for this question.

I put a load of laundry in. Just before the spin cylce the washer stops. I've checked the fuses, none are tripped. I don't smell anything burnt.
How do I fix this?

I guess you'll never finish your laundry now.

Wear more deodorant, bathe more often.......apparently even your washing machine is protesting...:p

I may be be smart, but the Maytag repairman I aint.

My first thought would be weight also, but that usually doesnt stop it until during the spin. Did anything get caught under the agitator?

Yeah, the load was even. No, there is nothing stuck in the agitator. I'm thinking a belt...possibly. Thanks guys!

Have you tried it again since it 'rested'? Sometimes my old would do this, and then work a while later, it was tired I guess....:noidea:

Yeah....we just got power back over here and as soon as we did I tried again. Nothing!

Butty, your washer will run with the lid up in all but the spin cycle. There's a little switch on the lid, mandated by a law to protect stupid people. Look around the rim of the lid and you'll find a little prong, usually plastic, that goes down in a small hole when the lit's closed. the switch is under that hole. Try pushing a pencil or something down in the hole and see of the washer continues with the spin cycle.
