Stop with the "thanks [poster]" posts already

I just thought I was expressing my appreciation by saying thatn you, didn't know it was irritating! sorry. I've never paid attention to the post count, or thought it was important. I can never seem to find any deals to contribute, and I don't know how you guys find them all, I felt bad just coming in, signing up for all of the offers, and then leaving, so i figured if I said thanks, I would be doins something!:confused:

Not that I'm opposed to change, but if it wasn't broke, why fix it?

Not sure if I like the 'new thank you' option, can't 'personalize it....:hmm:

The 'TY' option also doesn't 'bump' it up nor does it make a check in the thread.....:rolleyes:
 
I agree, Preco. Seems like alot of work for spoofee to "fix" something that wasn't broken. I too was raised to say thank you, and am raising my daughter to as well. There are enough rude and grumpy people in the world. It's nice to have a fun site where even if people disagree w/ you they are still nice about it. And I recall a post when I first joined lamenting the fact that no one was ever saying "thank you" to the people who posted the deal/freebie....

:claps: I agree! The personalized Thank yous are what makes Spoofee more of a community, more personal. I like when people add little comments in the Thank yous. Its more fun that way.:)
 
so are we not suppoused to say thank you anymore unless we use the thanks button, so as not to screw up the post count? Why is the post count important?

I actually really dont mind the thank you comments. It definitely does make people feel good that their contribution is appreciated. I guess the thank you button makes things cleaner, but takes away some of the personality. I'm going to continue making thank you posts if i really appreciate the contribution and also press the thank you button. =)
 
This seems like a lot of hullaballo over a relatively small issue...
 
I dont quite get where to click to "thank" a person for a good post, I see some people are leaving thanks, but how do you do that?

Should be in the box, lower right hand side, next to 'quote', says thanks and has a :bigok: in it. Just click on it.

Click on "Thanks" at the bottom of their post. Its right next to "quote" on the bottom right hand side.
 
hmmm... need to sit on this overnight. Does anyone like the "Thank you" buttons at all? I guess there should be deal rating buttons instead.
