hey guys, lets try to stick to the original subject of the thread. Both mods, and spoofers should be able to voice their concerns about the goings ons of Spoofee. This should be a safe place for discussion.

This, this is a great Mod response!

Instead of cleaning up the thread (deleting posts), PM'ing a member and/or issuing an infraction, etc....it's light and it remains there for all to see and members now see the direction of where things should be going, they are seeing the boundaries. The Mod is guiding, rather than slapping hands, gagging, stifling and 'controlling'.

If this had been deleted and handled 'privately'....then next person would be unaware that anything took place and perhaps would do the same thing and/or become very confused because the posts didn't make sense b/c some were deleted.

I think it was great.....the situation doesn't get out of hand, an example of a boundary is set without a negative confrontation and the thread and members can move on about their business without resentment.

Can we see more of this? and less of "that"?

I agree! :)

:hmmmm2: I thought things were supposed to change????? Posts and threads were deleted. How come threads weren't either warned prior or locked? Why were they deleted?

One member was questioning others about their behavior but they are above reproach? I don't get it unless I'm missing something which was deleted? :noidea:

And I hope I don't get banned again for questioning things that just disappear without explanation......that wouldn't be fair.

Wasn't fair the first time, wouldn't be fair now.....

please be more specific. Who is deleting what? and where?

Well, the whole thread was moved to the moderating forums. This is because it was getting out of hand. As usual. The proper thing to do would be to keep it in the same forum but lock it. Which is what I will do.

Thank you. At least it shows the progression. I agree, it stopped being constructive and moved into personal agendas.

Doe anyone else find it odd that a user (in this case, Precocious) has access to the moderator forum in order to get a thread reference?

Does anyone else find it disconcerting that when we users click on a link to the moderator forum we're shown anything at all? Shouldn't we get a "you are not authorized" message?

Ummm yeah! Preco has a secret pass to the moderator section. You're just jealous aren't you? I'll sell you one for $5. What the heck are you talking about. You are pretty quick to come to your own way out there conclusions aren't you.

The thread was originally posted for public viewing, I moved it back in the moderator section, scoopons moved it back here for public viewing. Preco does not have any more access to the moderator forums than you do or any other regular member for that matter.

I'll let you figure that one out, you're a 'smart guy', right? LOL

By the way, does anyone else find it odd and disconcerting that you gloss over your indiscretions and think you are above reproach? Yet you harass Mr. Spoffee for the issues you instigate? :convinced:

Oy

I got it.
For those who didn't understand Chooch's obtuse "explanation," the link was to a reference to the thread, not the thread itself.
Those disambiguation issues are killers.

As for dear Preco's comment, whatever.
