I just found out that one of my best friends is sick and in the hospital. I feel so bad right now. :verysad:

I'm sorry to hear this. I hope she makes a speedy recovery!
I'm sorry Joyce....I'll say a prayer for her.
I'm sorry, Joyce....hope your friend makes a speedy recovery.
A cloud does not know why it moves in just such a direction and at such a speed, it feels an impulsion....this is the place to go now.
But the sky knows the reason and the patterns behind all clouds, and you will know, too, when you lift yourself high enough to see beyond horizons..

CLONED CATS THAT GLOW?!
South Korean scientists say they have cloned cats whose genes have been altered so that they glow in the dark - taking advantage of a technological twist that could someday be used to make more dramatic genetic changes in all sorts of creatures
A research team at Gyeongsang National University, headed by Kong Il-Keun, produced several kitty clones in January and February, the government-managed Korea.net news service reported Wednesday. This week the scientists showed off the cats, which now weigh about 7 pounds (3 to 3.5 kilograms) and glow a dull red under ultraviolet light.
Again I hope you all have a glorious holiday season! And save some freebee's for me when I get back!

I didn't want to start a whole thread, but I wanted to take a second and wish everyone a Merry Christmas (or whatever you choose to celebrate) and a Happy New Year.
I have a family emergency 3000 miles away and only have a couple days to pack up my boys and xmas, get all my other responsibilities covered, and head out there. We'll be gone for around three weeks and I'll have no access to a computer. Luckily my husband will be able to join us for Christmas, but we'll be apart for New Years. (First time in 13 years )
I'm a bit nervous about handling it all while being so far from home-taking care of the problem and still managing to make this a positive adventure for my little ones. It seems like really bad timing being over the holidays. So I keep reminding myself of my favorite quote for handling the "de-railing" but unavoidable detours in my life.
Again I hope you all have a glorious holiday season! And save some freebee's for me when I get back!
Canada seeks author of nasty letters from Santa
Fri Dec 14, 2007 11:02 AM ET
OTTAWA (Reuters) - Canada's post office and police are trying to track down a "rogue elf" who wrote obscene letters to children on behalf of Santa Claus, a newspaper reported on Friday.
The Ottawa Citizen said at least 10 nasty letters had been delivered to little girls and boys in Ottawa who wrote to Santa this year care of the North Pole, which has a special H0H 0H0 Canadian postal code. Return letters from Santa are in fact written by an 11,000-strong army of Canada Post employees and volunteers.
"We firmly believe there is just one rogue elf out there," a Canada Post spokeswoman told the paper.
Canada Post's popular "Write to Santa" program -- which last year delivered more than a million letters to children in Canada and around the world -- has been shut down in Ottawa until the offender is caught.
