Also is it true? LiveSquid are you the one who collects sand? I read that thread title and meant to get back to it and then couldn't find it. I'm on Presque Isle and can send you some Lake Erie Sand if you want.

I can get sand from Tatooine?

Thanks, Clubby and c-mom! I am indeed the one who collects sand. Im prolly going to europe in November and I plan to get sand and dirt from everywhere I go.

I would love some sand from you guys! Thanks for asking.

Congrats, Clubby! Where out of town are you guys going?

Hey Squiddy,
I've got some in my backyard. I'm pretty sure my neighbor's cat peed in it, BUT it rained all day so you are more than welcome to it.

pismo. morro bay, too, probably.

here's the story for those who are either interested or bored--
when he proposed, he took me surfing for the first time. i was FREEZING (it was mid-march and central cali water is not warm like socal) and he sat me up on a rock. then he moved me because there was a dead bird right next to us. so we sat on another rock. i was so cold, i didn't notice the dog crap nearby- he didn't want to move me again, so he didn't say anything lol... anyway, he got on one knee and asked me to marry him and held up a box... which, for the record, my sister told me he'd gotten me a necklace (and i believed her), so i thought he was proposing with a necklace... i gave him a confused look and didn't answer (b/c he'd proposed once before w/o a ring and i told him no cuz neither of us would want to tell our kids we got engaged laying in bed watching seinfeld LOL)... so he opened the box and i saw it was a ring and said yes! then i thought to myself, i'm going to kill my sister lol...

so we got engaged on the cliffs of pismo beach, after i purled BIG TIME and got a face full of saltwater lol... and then 3 days later, i found out i was pregnant (not the best time to be surfing!!!)... and, well, the rest is history...

Nothing says romance like a dead bird and dog poop! lol j/k!
That is a great proposal!

Ha!! My kitty poop comment was for Squiddy, but could easily go for you too, clubby. ;) Jk
I thought the bed/ Seinfeld proposal was romantic too. ;)
Happy Aniversary!!

I think it is symbolic - life hands you a lot of dead birds and dog poop - and you two were able to look past it and embrace the moment!

Thats a really cool story, Clubby. You know, Bugs Bunny tried to get to Pismo Beach for "all the clams that he could eat", but of course he missed his left turn at Albuquerque. Really. It was the cartoon based on Ali Baba.

You guys have a great time.

It's raining and it's 63 degrees. I think today is going to be a spicy chili day.

63??????? :faint:

It is still August!!!!!! My Mom said that this weekend felt like fall.....I do miss Ohio in the fall. But I remember that fall is short and soon it is :snow:
Ugh!!!!!

Chili sounds good though - what time shall I be there?
