Hate to be cynical, but I like to call it playing devils advocate ;) but,

If your kids didnt attend would you be making more money?

I freakin' lost power just a few minutes after my last post here last night. I just got it back about an hour ago. :mmph: There was a few blocks w/o power and it started on my side of the street. They had power across the street.

to answer you, LS- no. private school= no gov't money... so the benefits are low pay, good medical/dental, and kids go for free... on the upside, it's all of them, which would be over $20k... and, i'd have to put the youngest in daycare (which is easily 600/month or more) and the kindergartener would have to go 1/2 day daycare (which would cost 300/month or more), so even if i was making more $$ at another school, i'd be shelling out $1000/month at least in childcare/extra gas/etc...

besides, just the peace of mind knowing that all of my kids are nearby... and on the SAME schedule as each other and me... that's HUGE!

precocious, if you come live with me and make me your kids' legal guardian, they can come for free :hug:

spaz, the kids will have other teachers... except the oldest ... i'm teaching language arts, social studies, and math for 7th/8th grades... and, let me tell you, she's thrilled :rofl:

Thats cool. But I was wondering if they would pay you more if they didnt have to fill five money-making spaces in the school with freebies.. Im having trouble explaining..

a) they have more space to fill than $$ to give away

and

2) as teacher, i'm signing up to be legally responsible for 20+ kids 8 hours/day, 5 days/week...

insane? maybe. but it's where i feel i'm supposed to be

Km, I didn't actually look either. I was being sarcastic too in saying "where are they." We're still waiting....obviously, your pics would be pretty popular around here! ;)

I thought pics of Kad would be enough (when I first signed up). My life is pretty much all about him it never crossed my mind to put in a pic of me. But now that the mystery is there...:spy:...I just love the suspense I keep you in. lol
 
Why is life so full of drama? I hate drama.

My day started out by being woken up at 7:30am by a phone call (my cousin) and she started telling me all about Bush's colonoscopy and about his polyps. Actually she just wanted to go down the shore for the day...why she couldn't start out with that but went straight into old man heinie polyps I'll never understand.

Anyway, we wanted our other cousin to join us later in the day (noon-ish) but we couldn't get her on the phone. All we recieved was a text message saying "long story i'll tell you later"

About 5:30pm we get a phone call...my cousin had gotten into a fight at an after hours club friday night and was in the hospital until about 12:30 or 1pm. Her ex-boyfriend (such a winner this one is!) is a bouncer at the club was jumped by 4 guys who were hitting on my cousin. My cousin initiated the fight to begin with so she jumped in the fight to break it up with heels on and somehow broke her ankle. The ex-boyfriend took the blunt of the fight, is in really bad shape but was finally released.

its not going to end there...knowing my cousin, more drama will definitely follow. (did I mention that my brilliant cousin had taken 3mg klonopan after a night of heavy drinking?:doh: )

i wish i could move out of this country away from all the drama, where its nice and quiet!

thats the succinct version. (i'm sorry its so long, just needed to vent)

Just because you're related, doesn't mean you have to associate with them.
