On a side note, since it rained so much yesterday and then froze today....half of my backyard is now a pond. It is funny watching the dogs "skate: around it though. :rofl:
 
Funny Story

Yesterday I just woke up and it sounded like somebody was knocking on the front door. Hubby sat up in bed and asked "Is somebody here?" I looked out the window - nobody. :hmmmm2:

This morning we heard it again, but at first it was faint.....hubby said "that is what I heard yesterday..." Looked out front - nobody. I asked him "Do you think Luce has a major itch and his leg is hitting the house or his kennel??" He shook his head no......

So I went into our bathroom to get dressed and I heard a beautiful bird singing his song.....it hit me....:doh: It's a woodpecker.

I went out to tell hubby and by that time, our friend was knocking on the house directly behind the bed. I said "Honey, I know what it is.....it's a woodpecker!" And just as I finished our friend sang out his little song. I said "hear that?" He shook his head yes and then my husband who is not a morning person, still groggy says to me "Well, what does he want?" LOL

I snuck outside and saw him - beautiful red head and gray body. I startled him enough to get off the house and into some trees.......
 
He'll be back. My grandma used to have my brother and I shoot them when they were on her property. When you get to see one close up, they really are beautiful birds.

Its the only way youll ever get close enough to really appreciate it, not that thats my reason. I was just following orders. :p

How many hundreds of thousands of people (hunters, insect collectors, biologists alike) admire the beauty of already dead animals? All of them, thats how many.

I just got a tattoo. It's on the side/back of my leg. When he was doing the outlining, it hurt soo bad I had my butt clenched the whole time. lol I'll post a pic of it when it's all healed up.

So, what's the tattoo of? Sounds like Squid would rather see a pic of your butt than the tattoo, but I would like to see it when it's better please. :tongue:

Oh, thanks for telling me, Squid. I haven't been able to talk to Butty as much lately...:( Busy with school and life, I guess....
yes, you can want to see both, I guess....not sure if Butty will agree to the tattoo part though;)
