i hope our orders get processed. i just got a last minute $50 gc to amazon and i added it to my order. so the total of my 5mp camera is round $63 + free ship.. thats IF they process the order.

bad news

i am sorry to tell all of you but i am pretty sure amazon will not ship out your item. similar thing happened to me also. if anyone remember about the linsys card for the laptop. i ordered 2 and i had to wait more than a month. after it past the shipping date, they will send you the email and tell you how sorry they but they don't have the item so they had to cancel your order. good luck!! :camera:
 
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! I just went on Amazon.com and clicked on Cameras and Photo. On the right hand side of the page it shows the Samsungs as the "top selling cameras."
I wonder if this is a running scam on their part.
Lower the price so it sells thousands and tell customers they have to wait 6 weeks for delivery. New customers see it as a "top selling camera" and buy it at the higher price, just because it says its a top seller. Then they cancel the original low price orders. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
I guess we'll have to wait and see.

:confused: I think you are correct. This will be my first purchased through Amazon! And if it does not go through then it will be my last! If they keep taking orders (higher price) and do ship but does not ship previous low priced pending orders then it is a consumer fraud! If the outlet made mistake then it is their responsibility to contact buyers immediately and explain and let them know the situation and status of their order in few days! Otherwise they may have to face bad PR and or class action law suite (many hungry law firms are wait for such incident)!

amazon has some good deals at certain times. i would love to see someone try to take amazon.com (and buy.com - see other buy.com posts) for the consumer. bottom line is, consumers buy, vendors sell.

a small payout for amazon to create "negative press" is still exposure, whether the "bad" exposure will hurt them is hard to tell. sure, they probably couldnt legally reclass their accounting expenses as "marketing" in their accounting ledgers but its definitely attracting attention. otherwise we wouldnt be posting on this thread. in the end, the house still wins.
 
My order is gone

I ordered one too. Also received confirmation on July 20th. Went back today to look at the status of the order and it is gone! No word from them cancelling the order nor a status of it being shipped. Hmmmmm. First time amazon buyer; last time amazon buyer.
 
Mine is still there

I just checked my Amazon account. Mine is still there, just waiting for shipment. I've actuallly used Amazon a LOT and I've never had a problem with them. If anythign does happen, I think we can raise hell and get some concessions out of them for stringing us along with their scam.
 
Deleted confirmed order!!

Man, if you have the copy of the confirmation then call Amazon and ask for the explanation. If they do not give proper reply then send a note to your state consumer agency! Most of the time we consumer just avoid such unpleasant icident and that is the main reason for such fradulant practices! Do not forget to send the copy of your complain to Amazon too!

OMG!! my order is totally GONE!! no trace left when i logged on. you guys know what??? we should ALLLL call in amazon and complain!!!

I went back and checked my order and it also said it has been cancelled. But no word from Amazon or Target!!!!!!
 
Can someone post the phone number so I can call to complain and I think everyone else should too?! They are still marketing the camera as their top selling camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

even if amazon ships a price mistake item, they will still send you an e-mail asking to send it back within 30 days and charge you for the difference if you don't. they try to never let anyone get away with a price mistake.

Same email for me this morning timed at 2:58 AM.

For all of you who stated this was your first purchase and if they don't honor it, it is your last... every company has the right to do this. Think about it this way, you live in a beautiful house that you want to sell for $300,000 and you sell it yourself and the newspaper prints it for sale for $30,000 instead. Are you going to sell it for that price? Of course not.

For those of us who did purchase this, hopefully you noticed that it was for sale on Amazon's site but it was not actually Amazon selling these camera's.
