I ordered 2 of them... we will see.

As far as what it means that it is not meant for the USA, if something happens and it needs warranty work, it may cost you a pretty penny for shipping to one of the non-USA repair facilities located in Asia or Europe.

I figure for $100 for a 5 MP digital camera, I can risk it...
 
I got my confirmation email. woo-hoo. Keeping my fingers crossed. Estimated ship date 8/31/05. Surely they won't go back and cancel our orders. That would be BAD PR.

There is no free shipping on this item since it is a Target item. $6.76 for shipping, I will eat that for such a killer dealio.
 
i hope it will ship earlier than the end of august. it seems like a long time. =(

Meaning what? That you wish you would have been able to get in on the deal? I've got 8 coming. I'll sell you one for $150. It's still a better deal than this camera. And at $150, it's still a better deal than you can find anywhere else on the web. So, therefore, I see myself as a public servent.

And me buying 8 did not lessen the supply of these cameras. Believe me, when Amazon saw that many orders, they immediately investigated and raised the price within hours. It's not like I was bogarting all the cameras.

it's people like you who order multiples that triggers the establishment to "investigate."

No need to act childish and start name calling. You have no problem with what I am doing, yet you want to call me a "dumb ass". Real nice.
 
Well the price of the camera went up
Price: $219.95
You Save: $80.04 (27%)
but ironically, the seller is no longer listed as target, and target is not even listed on their list of providers for the camera. That is not a good sign for those of us who got in on this deal.

I agree with you that this is what raises a red flag and it also turns bargin hunting into an adversarial issue instead of something fun. I would be willing to bet that even if the rest of us get our indivdual cameras (I ordered 2 -- both gifts), ean1879's order for 8 would not be honored. I don't think they would look at taking a loss like that as keeping up good PR.
 
The link on Amazon also says shipping is 1-2 days, whereas yesterday it said it wasn't going to ship until end of August.
 
My Amazon account still has the $104 price listed...but when you click on the link it takes you to the new higher price...

Hope they don't try to charge the new higher price for it when they eventually ship them out.... :mad:

Oh man that makes it even SWEETER! Get this- I complained that I didn't get free shipping on their 800 number. I did get -$2.17 super saver on shipping for other items I ordered.

Anyhow- she removed ALL of the shipping charges, but the -$2.17 is still there :)

"Scalping people", isn't this the way most businesses run, buy low, sell high? You're an investor, isn't that how it works? I am not saying that he did not buy 8, I could care less myself, but how do you know if he did or not. People can come to these forums and post that they bought 500, how would you know for sure. There is no reason to come here and start with the rude comments because you missed out on a deal. So please stop with the comments. :28: :zip:

I believe the reason why these camera's are not shipping until September is because of the $30 rebate. The rebate is only good until 08/31 so then you can't use the rebate. The estimated shipping right now at the correct price is 1-3 days but yet ours (yep, I got one!) is not until September. I would really like mine sooner but oh well.
