I have been debating on buying a USB drive, now I get one for free to play with. Now I can transfer songs from my computer at home, to my computer at work, without wasting discs, and time. I will cherish it, till the day it dies. :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps: :claps:

Don't clap until you actually get one in the mail. Afterall, it's supposedly coming from Bill Gates LOL

Still hoping I get one...but I was just thinking...maybe its a marketing ploy. What if the drive won't work unless you have Windows Vista, which comes out at the end of the year? I'd buy it anyway, Vista looks hot. :bigok:

I have attended several M$ training sessions where they have given these out. About 2 years ago they were 16 MB and last year they upgraded them to 32 MB and since you can hardly find anything below 128 MB now, I am guessing they will be 64 MB now.

I have about 10 x 128MB thumb drives I am ready to throw away, just got a new 4GB and the others just seem so small now.

Yay! A thumb Drive for me!! Now just one small question...what the heck is a thumb drive? Anyone?

First, this isn't a "Thumb Drive." Thumb Drives are a specific brand. This looks like a Chinese generic USB drive. Probably made in one of Gates' buddies Chicom factories.
Second, It probably has at least 16mb capcity since the FAQ and other items listed seem to be at least that large. One earlier poster suggested it is most likely 64mb and that is a very reasonable figure.
Third it is made for Win XP as per their page, so it is most likely preformatted in NT.
Fourth, no matter the format you have to be able to reformat it and be able to use it with your box so its a nice deal if they actually send it. I tend to think you will get one (or more if you sign up a few times with different emaill addys)

Nice deal exit!

So what do people put for "Company/Organization" field? I assume all of us don't own our own businesses.

I was wondering the same thing. ... Anyway, they are sneaky. They want us to verify that we "own" the submitted e-mail address. It's a way to make sure the address is valid. Bah.

For the "company", I just put my employer. I don't think it says you have to own the business. I definitely don't own UCI.
