but maybe all those non-spoofee people who usually get in quick didn't have a princess gigi to give them a linked that worked.. so might have a chance this time..

I work in advertising so i am used to rushing for deadlines and then having to figure out how to deal with mistakes. this is what i think happened. Someone at allure looked at the 2008 calendar when they wrote or submitted the information for the January giveaways.
no one noticed until after the magazine was printed.

since the publication went to press and they cannot reprint the magazine, Allure had no choice but to honor the screwy dates. I should have figured it out when Joyce posted this in December.They can't P!$$ off the subscribers that support their payroll(actually I AM one...) only us on line guys entering the contest. you are getting the form letter they send out for advertising and editorial mistakes

I'm wondering how it is that the correct link wasn't on the website and still someone had it.
I just sent an irate email to them about this. It's not fair to the rest of us if they are giving the link to some and not others. I am now really wondering if these contests are fair and square. I enter according to the world clock and still win nothing. Fishy!

I think Gigi figured it out. don't think she got it from allure.
I knew enough to start playing with the address in the link but forgot that the word long has usually been the end of the link

[email protected] seems to be for the magazine subscription problems only . . . why it does not work, I don't know, but I need a link for Allure Winner List 2008 requests.

I won something in the Allure August 2007, and there was a pdf file posted online so I knew that I won . . . but I never got my prize because the company was purchased and Allure said to contact them, and they never responded to any emails or letters I sent . . . I was so bummed after all the time I spent!

I tried again every day in 2008 August, but have not gotten anything yet.

I would love to see the 2008 Allure August winners list. Maybe I am on the "Weiner's List" for Allure . . . spending tons of time and getting nothing!

Sour grapes...just figured it out and shared. Came here first to see if any of my other smart buds figured it out and when they didn't I just tried what I thought it should be. Took a while but then it came up. Alls fair in love and freebies.:)

I've been trying to get the 2008 list, but no luck. I was the one who got the list e-mailed to me last March (for August 2007), and I'm sure it was an error that they did it. Now I think I am black-listed! Anyway, you won the L'Occitane, right? I get e-mails from them all the time. Do you want the link to their e-mails? Maybe you can contact them again.

PS: Missed all the drama today--got up too late!

They got purchased and I tried to contact them via the website, but I never got a response and it changed to another company, and they never responed to emails or my letters.

I remember that one. It had the pretty birds on the front of the tube. I'd be upset also!
 
Finally I got something. A big Fedex box with a can of hair spray. lol I think it cost them more for shipping than the product. Got2B 24 hour anti humidity spray. I'm so glad I got something.

The reference was S&H SAMPLE
