thanks sherri, i hope so too, but my time was reallllllllllllyyyyyyyyyy bad, i was like 12:02:34 something like that. i have to look in my notes, i remember having major problems with October's entries. either way i'll keep my fingers crossed.

No, I guess it will be a surprise. Did everyone who got an email from Estee Lauder get their product? I got the email, but still have not gotten it.

I am not currently an Allure subscriber and I have received 14 items from the August giveaways. You definitely do not have to subscribe to enter their giveaways. When you entered, did you check your computer clock carefully to make sure it was correct? This year, I entered as close to the exact time as possible--not early, not late. It would appear that Allure's servers were keeping accurate time this year. Last year, I did essentially the same thing and won very little. It's always a crapshoot, but it does seem like it is getting better. Hope you get a surprise soon.

OK--you're ahead by 4 (2 if you count one win for DH and one win for a friend). I do have an excuse, tho---had horrible cable issues in August and couldn't enter all of them. Now, this one I would like--this and the Bobbi Brown seem to be my exact colors! Oh, well. Good for you! And first 25 is great--I got one thing that said first 20 and couldn't believe it! But Hilly is the champ on that criteria--she got a first 10!

I agree, Hilly is the champ - not only was it the first 10, but $240.00 value too. Pretty damn good considering all the people that enter.

I am very lucky when it comes to doing this stuff because my ass is at work in front of a computer all day long with a very fast internet speed...

On another note though, they really must have screwed up last years August because I was actually more diligent at that and entered the same way, and walked away with about 5 prizes...so something was really f"d up last year.

Anyway-lots more stuff for them to send out - hopefully we'll all rake in a ton of stuff.

Wow, this is a great board! I am so happy to have found it. I had so much fun reading through the days as you all entered and waited for the packages to arrive! It took me an hour or so, but now I feel like I'm not alone. :tongue:

I entered almost daily during the Allure August give-aways, and multiple times, too. It was kind of crazy - unemployment isn't so bad afterall! :teeth:

After all that time at the computer - I must have entered at least an average of four or five a day, I just got my very first prize! Redken Fabricate 03 Heat-Active Texturizer by UPS. I'm on the West Coast, so maybe that is why mine came a bit late. It had a big #383 written on the bottom - was I 383?


You guys have all won some really awesome stuff so far! After reading all of your posts it surprises me that it took so long to get one prize. If you haven't gotten anything yet, don't give up hope. :peace:

just enter at 12:00:00 till 12:00:59 or whatever time its specified, you'll be good to go especially for the first 500 giveaways. example, if it starts at 1pm E.P. you enter whatever central you are, i'm in cali, so my time would be 10am, so i would enter at 10:00:00 that would be idle time, it take few seconds for their server to register your entry. i use mozilla fire fox, its really cool after you entered the giveaway you can right click on that page and click "view page info" and it will tell you the time the entry page went through. hope this helps.
