i think no matter how you look at it, it is a great deal. it is hard to find a regular fossil watch for 30 bucks, this is just something enjoyable to pass the time until you die. For anyone that loves tech gear and electronics it is a mus have at that price.
 
Yeah, I paid a little less than $50 for my regular Fossil Blue model which I have now. I'll still use it with my new smart watch. Waxedstrong, is the basic free service enough to get you by?

Valid Dealer?

Maybe Tigerdirect is a valid dealer. on http://www.abacuswatches.com/, you can click "where to buy" it tells you to go to tigerdirect.com. so maybe the warranty will be valid for the full length of time. :claps:
 
Yeah. I actually think that TigerDirect is the official retailer of the Abacus watches, interesting. Mine shipped, I think it'll come tomorrow. I'll try out the basic service and if I like it enough, $40 a year is fair enough for the full package. First, I want to see how the service is in my area reception wise and how often I use it.

It's a shame that this is the old Abacus model. If it were the new one, I'd feel better about spending $40 on the service. The older one isn't quite as nice, but what can I do, it was $40. Now UPS is saying that it's going to come Monday which makes me angry since it should be here tomorrow.

Hate to tell you, but I think Monday is a Federal Holiday. But I think UPS still delivers. Not sure though.

Hopefully Erik will get his tomorrow and he can tell us what a wonderful peice of gadgetry it is and that we should all be happy we ordered one and sing and dance and chant around the fire; offering sacrifices to the gods and drinking the blood of our enemies.. Oh, sorry had a tanget there...

Why didn't you buy one LiveSquid? You still can. UPS does deliver on Monday or else they wouldn't have quoted me the date.

If they did that, they would likely sell out before we all had a chance to see it. It was a good find, though..

UPS bumped up my delivery (as I pretty much expected they would) and it's on the truck waiting to come. I have work at 1:15, UPS normally comes around 1:30 to 2:30 for me so we'll have to see if I can get it charging before I leave. Then the question is, to get the service, or not to get the service?
