Allure May 2011 Giveaways

So, this morning I was able to pull mine up with the ref. #, now I can't, that and it said that it had been scanned for shipping on the 15 and it's already the 20th, something's up.....
 
this is the nice email I sent to them describing the problem:
I was a winner in the May Allure giveaway that you sponsored. Here's the details:
May 5: LaLicious Sugar Reef Souffle Moisturizing Body Scrub
It did arrive fedex today w/ a ref # of Allure.
However, It was returned to you due to damage and then REPACKAGED. When I received it it was UTTERLY DISGUSTING!!! It was GREASY as heck .
It was obvious that the first package had leakage b/c it was in the same box as the one my mother received. Her's too was very GREASY and look like it leaked through.
She will also be emailing you.
Highly Disappointing. It was greasy even on the outside of the plastic shrinkwrap that was wrapped on the outside of the jar.
I would like some resolution to this problem since it obviously was returned to you by FEDEX and then nobody looked inside. All they did was stuff that box into another box and resend. Problem was NOT solved.

Ok I called! I spoke to a nice lady who said that the jars are in fact "HEAT SEALED" and that they're packaged but w/ this extreme heat what "probably leaked out is the coconut oil" but that" the scrub is still good"! Also she said she'd be speaking to her "marketing Director" to see what can be done. As soon as I know I'll post it here.

Sunni, that's great! Thanks so much for doing all that. I saw over on another board that many others got leaky ones too. So it seems to be quite a widespread issue.

You're welcome..said that they know that fedex tosses everything around but that they're better then UPS or the USPS. I suggested in the future that they send out a notice that it will be mailed once the weather is cooler and that to please bear with them. Everyone would've appreciated it more rather then open up something only to have oil all over your hands and then have to toss it away. (Though they say it can be used I already tossed mine and mom's).
She also said that these were "Not returned to them by FEDEX," that "FEDEX repackages it and sends it back out".

My hands are still soft and smelly even after washing my hands w/ my lysol hands free soap. And still a bit greasy! I scrubbed and scrubbed but it's very slick stuff! SUGGESTION? Open up w/ laytex gloves on!!! LOL!

Thank you so much! I will indeed write an email to them. They should make sure their products are stable and take in to account the extreme weather conditions. Ajob well done sunni!

this went to my husband and he opened it so i didn't notice until today that the stuff was leaking all over the plastic wrap.
can't tell if mine was resent but the box is covred with a sticker that says fragile this side up

I got all my prizes except for that leaky body scrub. When I checked the tracking it had been signed for at the company as a return and never sent back out. So I just emailed customer service to see what's up there.

It wouldn't be an Allure giveaway without some kind of drama.

I emailed Allure from their website and asked for it. I wasnt a winner, but was happy to confirm!
 
Weird, I never heard back from my email to Lalicious about the body scrub. I emailed them a second time and that one bounced back to me.

It's like B Bronze all over again. LOL

i just rec'd a 2nd jar with a note that says "we understand that your package arrived damaged. Please accept our apologies. Enclosed is a replacement LaLicious Sugar Reef Soufflé Scrub. We hope you enjoy it." YOU BET I WILL! :boogy:
 
I got mine too! And it was in perfect condition, no leaking. :)
