Shipt Year Membership with $50 Target Gift Card for $99 Shipped

People are saying if you already have a membership the $99 converts to Shipt credit.

Our PTO gifted our staff Shipt memberships last staff appreciation week. I was told by Shipt that if someone had a membership, they could have customer service add the new one to the account, so when the existing membership would renew, it would take the gifted one instead of charging $99. Not sure if that would work here, but it's a possibility.
