What? The topic is "You know it's going to be a rough day when..." I described a rough day start. Yes, it may be nasty, but it makes for a rough day. Not how I woke up today, but stomach flu is going around like crazy where I live and I do have little ones.

That is so true Spaz. :doh: Sometimes you forget who you are conversing with and then they get a horrified look from some of the topics/comments. It's quite funny actually. We just kind of become 'de-sensitized' at times and speak 'matter-of-fact'-ly at trauma, life and death issues. A mealtime conversation at our house can be quite an eye opener! :yo:

It's all good. I am sorry if I offended anyone. Preco, you're right, you do become 'de-sensitized' at times. I have four girls and one of them just thinks its funny to talk about bodily functions. Spazntwitch I laughed about it to coworkers after the fact. ;) The flu made it through all of us except for my oldest one, in which she instructed her sisters and I to stay away from her cause she didn't want our germs.

DanC I would have LOVED to have been able to have had a milkshake. The sight and smell of food prevented otherwise.
 
You know it's going to be a rough day when you go out after breakfast and find the family pet, an 11 year old Scotty, has died under the orange tree, between two pineapple plants.
It gets no better when you stand up and find your 14 year old daughter, who loved the dog, is standing behind you with tears streaming down her face.
 
Oh Dan, I feel so sorry for your family. :( Pets are members of the family too....:(

More like 'Going to be a rough week' if not a month..

Ive lost them too, Dan.. Never easy, never nice, but it sounds like ole Scotty had a peaceful passing. A nice shady area, he got to lay down, not be bothered, poked, etc. I hate to say it, but at least theres that..

Im really really sorry Dan. I lost a pet this week too, and you have my deepest sympathies. IF theres anything I can do at all, dont hesitite to PM me.

Yes, Squid, he did go out peacefully and quickly. I couldn't ask for more than that for myself or any of my loved ones.

I wanted coffee this morning.......I only drink coffee if I am cold. It is well on its way to 80 degrees today so it's not a temperture issue.......for my body's first reaction this morning to be "coffee".....it's going to be a rough day :coffee:

Dan - I just read of your recent pet loss - I am so sorry to hear that and I hope you & your family are feeling better. We are big pet lovers here too and the loss of one is just as hurtful as the loss of a human. Best wishes to you all.

Theres a thread where we all kind of jokingly make requests for emotions, and there are several in there that I think would be great. I like K-Ma's suggestion, but can you imagine what that smiley would look like?
